Hi there guys I know I know you thought I fell off the closest cliff (hmm, maybe north ave beach?)...I didn't I'm still here!!!!!!!!!!Just not as talented at keeping more than 1 thread updated as some (hmm who?) of you!!

The girls & I had a great trip! We were at POP from 9/30-10/9...despite it being about 15 degrees to hot for me we had fun...no super duper pixie dust happenings but fun for us...

then we got home & I got sick..stay in bed sick..my lupus flared up...then each dd and dh got sick too...bleech bleech bleech.

then this whole being the pto president thing REALLY interrupts my DIS time

I'm going to attempt to read back a few pges & see if I can get semi-caught up.

any meets coming up???? My basement is done! ANyone up for scrappin?

who's leaving soon for WDW??? anyone????

WELCOME GOBEARS - indeed!! Read the Tribune article, and got a big *duh... I luv luv the Bears, esp the '85 Bears, as my ds was born that first preaseason game, and was teething during the superbowl, and ds and I still yell and cheer for da bears... but... '85 is done, move on... TIME TO GET ON THE BUS!!

roseprincess - I couldnt agree more, this rain just feels depressing - this am here the sun was shining so bright, it was darn right WARM!!

Did anyone catch the news report on the pumpkin blight? I guess it is so bad that many pumpkin farmers are relying on the Canadians for pumpkins for the pumpkin patches!! Pumpkins are shipped in, and than strategically placed around the farms, so the kids and families can still have their days!! I cant imagine being a farmer!! Bless the Farmers!!

dairy queen was a bust tonight.
just got back home.
had their hot fudge sundae with choc ice cream and it was so melty and did not hit the spot.


they close at 9, i could always go back and do the split.
you are totally correct on that one.


i should have gone to culvers for the sundae.

Slo-HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! To my fellow Libran. Hope you had a great day!! And to any other recent birthdays for this month. I know there are a few of us here. Big 40 for me on Saturday-nothing planned as WDW was my big treat!!!
We did get a bit of DREAMS while we were there. Quicky highlights, DD was asked trivia questions twice by CMs and answered correctly and was sprinkled with pixie dust (Mickey confetti). Then on our MNSSHP night, we were dressed as the Peter Pan crew and were chosen to give the Bon Voyage to the boats setting sail at It's a Small World. Got a certificate there. And then the kids and DH left the park to go back to the hotel as it was late that night. I waited in the photo line and was the last to exit the park toward the boat launch to WL. Since I was the final passenger, I got a certificate, some collectors cards for the kids and stickers, and received the moonlight cruise around Bay Lake all to myself. Was very pretty (although a little chilly at 1AM). And our last bit of magic, we were on the Jungle Cruise and our boat received Year of a Million Dreams Mickey ear hats for everyone on board. All in all not a bad bit of pixie dust.
When we were getting off Star Tours, the family right behind us was chosen by the Dreams Squad. Don't know what they were getting. Just heard the CMs say they may have been eligible to win a prize. Guess maybe one of the big ones. Wish we could've stood there to listen in. LOL
Anyway, haven't had a chance to catch up yet. Just wanted to be sure to wish Slo a Happy Birthday. I'll fill everyone in on my trip more later. Last day of packing up the Book Fair tomorrow, and I have about caught up on my laundry. So I should soon be free to DIS more. Good nite everyone!!!

Good Thursday morning everyone!!!

I'm going with Katie and a bus full of 3 & 4 year old to a local Pumpkin Patch today. It's going to be cold and muddy there - I"m not looking forward to it. If I didn't already pay the $18, I think we would pass and I would keep her home. But, we'll bundle up and tough it out

Dinner last night at my mom's was wonderful!!! Between my favorite dinner and my 2 favorite desserts , I came home with a stomachache But it was a good stomachache - so that's okay!!!!

Thanks for all the continued Happy Birthday wishes from everyone - I just love you guys!!!!

HERSEY - Alex's school project sounds fun!!! I wish I had school projects like that when I was in school. You'll have to let us know how that goes.

ADDING Morning Wishes!! and a little Made it over hump day we did...

Tiggerrn - Welcome back - thanks for stopping by and highlighting your trip magic - I still havent done my highlight... I think so very many magical things happened, I just hold them close to my heart - it was so wonderful I'm still smiling!! Our transfer from BWV to WL went like this -- get on the bus from BWV to MK for magical beginnings - I hop on the boat from MK to WL - and of course at that time of day - I was the only passenger - and I was wearing my Bride ears!! (dh and I celebrated our 25th anniversary!) they of course were wonderful (there were 4 crew members, one in training)

anyway your post reminded me of my magic!!

mac Time to put the lights on!! When's dinner???? Culvers right????

Anyone else notice the darkness factor??? Sunrise doesnt happen until AFTER 7 am today, and of course its darker and darker earlier... *sigh

Slo Galoshes for everyone!!! Yesterday started nice and sunny, so hopefully you'll get some of that sunshine today - hat, scarves, gloves, and galoshes!! Love how you can get galoshes at Target now!! I was checking shoe sizes for dd - found like 5 pairs of boots!! someone needs to clean out a closet... Anybody want some boots size 3, size 2, and maybe 13?!!

Well I do have to work for a few days but I am lucky that the conference is in Orlando and starts on a Monday so I can play at WDW for the weekend..

True... Hersey that is my kind of thinking too.. As my Mother used to say nothing like a little lunch and a BIG dessert..

what a chilly dismal morning it is too. It is so gray up here and we won't get out of the 40s today. And yesterday was almost 60! Well I guess its a sure sign that Chicago fall is here. You never know what the next day will bring you.

Scrappinmom: I would totally be up for a scrapping meet! I have my trip stuff and supplies all tucked away in a bag in my closet but have not even begun! I need a little motivation methinks!

Slo-have fun at the pumpin patch today! Bundle up! I went to county line orchard around valparasio on Sunday and there were hardly any apples left. I did manage to get a cute little pumpkin though

I do miss Michelle-hope she comes back soon. She always made me smile

slo I didn't see ANY DISers at WDW!! Not anyone I personally would have recognized and nothing that indicated that it was a DISer either. No lime green buttons, or ribbons, or anything significant.
Maybe it was just me!!! I did have an entire week with me and just the kids before Tony showed up, so I was a little into parental overdrive!!

mac I Culvers too!!! YUM-O!!!! You need to organize a Culvers meet!!!!!

scrappin Glad to hear your trip went well!! And your basement is finally done....YEAH!!!!
