I just found out the dates for next years American Girl Benefit Sale!!
It's the 21 and 22 of July in Middleton WI!!

I already booked a hotel for the weekend!!!!

Anyone else interested in going to this??

Disneymama and Hersey just have to say a big thanks for the memories. Checked out those links and boy did that take me back to my childhood. Happy times. I remember waiting for Ray Raynor to call my school's name on the air for snow days. Oh, and that nostalgic sweet shop. Oh, my goodness. I may have to order some of that just to show my kids what kind of candy I ate. They already tell me I am from the "olden times". If they only knew.

More celebs are on their way to the are....

rumor has it that Vince Vaughn and Jenifer Anniston bought land in Wayne!!

THAT'S who it was...I was going to add that there was a blurb abotu Jenifer A. BUT I couldn't remember her last name. I was going to say Allison or something like that. I remember them saying that there is a parcel of land that says something like "Harrison Bank Trust" and that is very unusual for Wayne, so it's speculation that is who is buying that property. I couldn't find the article again last night so didn't post it.

I obviously live under a rock & don't follow celebs much (I'm one of those ones that I'm convinced I could be standing next any big name person and wouldn't have clue. I would either not recognize them OR think gee that person looks an awful lot like so & so but not really think it really WAS so & so.)

Besides....we do things like Thomas the Tank & Bob the Builder. THOSE are the celebs in this house. Along with Care Bears & Yu-gi-oh. Then again Zac Efron I'm sure DD would recognize.

I loved Cookie! So, didn't really pay attention to Whizzo. Then when Bozo was going off the air and all the write-ups & everything, sure enough it was in one of our local papers that he lived here. Of course, it's not like he goes around town with his make-up on either. I could be standing right next to him and wouldn't have a clue.

I was sad to see Cookie left because of health reasons but at least I found out why & it wasn't some sort of underlying fued or something of that nature.

I loved Cookie, too, and was also sad when he left. When I went to the Bozo show, my mom bought me a Cookie button. :

You are too cute! I am so celeb obsessed. I have no idea why, but I have been since I was a kid. Maybe because I wanted to be a movie star.

Good cloudy morning to everyone!!

I kinda like this weather!! Is it fall yet???

Kind of busy day here today.
This morning a man is coming to give me a price on a retaining wall. YAY!!
This evening is Lauren's expectation night (meet the teacher). And then after that a different person is coming to give us a estimate on a deck!
And I'm having a meeting here tomorrow so I need to do a little cleaning.

You should bring Katie! She is close to Hunter's age and I'm sure they would get along!

Just so you know, in May they will sell tickets to the sale. The cost is minimal, but the ticket has a time on it when you are allowed into the sale. So the earlier you buy your tickets, the earlier the time will be. I want a first time slot ticket!!! That way we can get in before everything is picked through!!!

Hey, I just have to tell ya, I love Bon Jovi, too! I saw them in concert in, uh-hem, 1987. The Slippery When Wet tour at the Rosemont Horizon. Cinderella opened for them. AWESOME!

Hi Michele!!

I saw them for the 1st time in the summer of 1989 at the Alpine in WI for the New Jersey tour and Skid Row opened!!
That was when DH and I were dating! So he paid!!! He also paid for my best friend to go too!!! His best friend came as well.

My sister and I took DD to see them in Madison WI for the Bounce tour!! That was a blast!!! We stayed at the Hilton Lake Menoma in the floor below them!! I posted about it years ago with pictures too!

Wasn't able to see them this past tour because of my heart and foot problems at the time. Even though DH bought tickets for the concert and suprised me with them. I ended up selling them!

Morning all. Have a busy day today. Too bad it is misty and glum. Have to go to a workshop for kids Scholastic Book Fair. I plan to help with it more this year since kids will be in a different school. We were all redistricted here this summer and now only 2 of the PTO from last year's school is at the school my kids are in. I have no idea how the whole thing is done but figured I'd try to help as much as possible.
Dreaded grocery shop day as well. HMMMM. Does Goodings deliver to the house?
Here's a question for you all. Should I try ME when we arrive and just do towncar for the ride back? (Can't do ME on the return because we will be returning from Royal Plaza Hotel) Or just do the town car round trip? I think there is extra charges to the WL because of it being a MK area hotel. The RT cost would be $119 with FL Tours and $130 with Happy Limo as they charge for booster seats.

Bunchkin, I love the Disney Halloween picture you posted! I got to see that pumpkin last year the day before we left Disney. I think I'm going to try to do Disney again next year for the Halloween party!!



I certainly did like the weather overnight last night. It was so nice and cool and it made for some seriously good sleeping! I was in bed early and everything. I had strange "funny" dreams all night, which is a good sign of good sleep for me. Usually, I have frustrating or nighmarish type dreams and I get all frustrated and wake myself up.

I have to go back and read up on what's been going on. We were away for the weekend and yesterday was so busy!

Bunchy, we're thinking of going to the sale. Madison is not that far for us, so we may just get a hotel room on friday night so that i can get there early on saturday!! i will be the only one going in, since hte kids can NOT handle that and they are not allowed that young anyways! haha!!! DH would prefer to stay back in the hotel too!!

Good morning happy Chicagoans!

I am counting down the days..just a couple waves to go. I have half finished my packing and have got my itinerary and landyard ready to go. I have even made a lanyard for my mom to suprise her with. She'll have so much fun pin trading. This year I've gone a little commando in my planning. I know where I'm going to be just about every hour. I went a little nutso, I know, but I wanted to be sure to get as much in as I could!

Little update on the Wicked Meet, about payment. I think it would be better if checks were paid in advance and cash on the day of the event. You could pm me my address and send the check to me, or (hopefully) give it to me on the October 28th meet. I'll keep you posted about that second one. I should know DBF's flight schedule soon

I liked ME last year. I wish I could use it this year, but I'm staying at the Swan for the first part and they don't do ME. Such a shame.

And I'm totally interested in Mickey Live! I got a flyer about that in the mail the other day and have every intention of making one of those shows on the weekend!
