Bunchkin: I'll be at Expectation Night Tonight! You want to meet up real quick and I can give you that Disneyland book? That was you right...aren't you going to DL in the winter months? I am in the earlier meeting time at 6:30 because my last name starts with D. I've already met Megan's teacher, but I like her so much, I look forward to talking with her again tonight!

Will you be there till 7pm??
I could meet you near the library doors just before7pm. I have on a red shirt and jean capris today! :thumbsup2
Thanks!!!

Should I try ME when we arrive and just do towncar for the ride back? (Can't do ME on the return because we will be returning from Royal Plaza Hotel) Or just do the town car round trip? I think there is extra charges to the WL because of it being a MK area hotel. The RT cost would be $119 with FL Tours and $130 with Happy Limo as they charge for booster seats.

We *were* all set to use ME too!! But then I started thinking about all early morning breakfast ADR's we have, and how buses won't run that early. And how we want to go to Fort Wilderness for the pony rides, petting zoo, we have and ADR for Hoop Dee Doo, and then are doing the Campfire sing-along and the movie. And how we want to go to Michelle's laundry meet at POP!!! :faint:

So we decided last night to rent a car!! I got a great deal with a double upgrade coupon from National Car Rental.!!! A full size 4 door (like a Chevy Impala or Buick Century) for only $207.55 TOTAL for 10 days!!!
Great price!!! With the prices you listed, I would check into a rental for a little more money!

Good luck either way!!! :thumbsup2

Bunchy, we're thinking of going to the sale. Madison is not that far for us, so we may just get a hotel room on friday night so that i can get there early on saturday!! i will be the only one going in, since hte kids can NOT handle that and they are not allowed that young anyways! haha!!! DH would prefer to stay back in the hotel too!! ::yes::

Yes, kids under 3 are not allowed at the sale.
I hope you go!! That would be fun!! ::yes::

Here is where we are staying.
HIlton Garden Hotel in Middleton. It is one of the recommended places to say according to the Benefit sale site. It is also the closest!!! Click on 'tour hotel'. And look at the pictures of the pool!!! The kids will love it!! I know mine will!! :cool1: You should stay there too!! :thumbsup2 We are thinking of going to the Dells on Saurday night then for more waterpark fun!!

Good morning happy Chicagoans!

I am counting down the days..just a couple waves to go. I have half finished my packing and have got my itinerary and landyard ready to go. I have even made a lanyard for my mom to suprise her with. She'll have so much fun pin trading. This year I've gone a little commando in my planning. I know where I'm going to be just about every hour. I went a little nutso, I know, but I wanted to be sure to get as much in as I could!

Little update on the Wicked Meet, about payment. I think it would be better if checks were paid in advance and cash on the day of the event. You could pm me my address and send the check to me, or (hopefully) give it to me on the October 28th meet. I'll keep you posted about that second one. I should know DBF's flight schedule soon

Just a few more days to go for you!!! :cool1:

That's so nice you have a lanyard for your mom!!! :goodvibes
I like overplanning myself!!! :teeth: :thumbsup2

Maybe we can have a collection booth at my house for you!! :rotfl:

I'm hoping to! I have to see if DH will take that weekend off (he only gets two weekends off per month). I don't know if I could handle all three princess: by myself.

What a gloomy day!!!!! :umbrella:

The one thing that made this day brighter is I went shopping by myself  I dropped Katie off at daycare, and off I went - it was great :Pinkbounc Kevin called me at 11:30am and said, "Where are you?" I said, "Kohls" He said, "How long have you been there?" I said, "An hour in a half." He said, "what are you looking for?" I said, "Not much. It's just nice to roam the store without anyone bugging me to go to the bathroom, and how they want this and how they want that. I'm just roaming!" He laughed and told me to have fun, and I did!!! ::yes::

I started buying some stuff for vacation, which is in 23 days :cool1: :teeth: I bought myself a new pair of Nike walking shoes, and a bunch of travel toiletries, and stuff like that.

I also got a V-Smile for the girls for X-Mas (yes I start shopping early  ) This is going to be a togetherness gift from Kevin and I with games for each girl that is age appropriate. I know this may be a little babiesh for Steph, but she doesn't like difficult video games, so this will be perfect. :thumbsup2 Do any of you have a V-Smile for your kids? If you do, what do you think of it? Do the kids like it? Any input would be really appreciated - thanks!!!!

It was so nice and cool and it made for some seriously good sleeping!
It's funny that you said that, because I told Kevin this morning that I slept the best last night, that I have in weeks. Maybe it was from the fresh air from the open windows.

Bunchkin - I was just thinking (which is dangerous sometimes I know :lmao: ) is the pizza meet at your house after the pumpkin patch? If that is meet you are refering to, then yes we will be there ::yes:: with desert and whatever else you want me to bring in hand :thumbsup2

If you are refering to something different, please let me know - thanks!!! :)

Okay, this time I am going for sure!!!!

GREEN LIGHT OUT!!!!!

Happy Tuesday to all! So I go away for a few days and come back and there's like a zillion pages on the Chicago thread...you all sure do love to chat! :goodvibes I will *never* catch up, so just a quick hi to everyone and hope you are all doing okay....

We got Christopher settled in Dubuque---but I miss him already! (Even though half the time he was home this summer, he was up in his room working on his computer, it was nice just knowing he was *there*!) I know Dubuque isn't that far away, but still....it's a mom thing, I guess!

Have a good day, Chicago!!! :thumbsup2

Okay where to start. I would love to come to your Pumpkin Bash and I'd love to go to the Mickey thing. I could give you a check tonight for ticket costs and yes, I'll be there at 7:00 p.m. because we are supposed to be there by 6:30, so I'm sure I'll still be there at 7:00 p.m. (Red shirt, denim capris, check!! I'm wearing a yellow sweater and khakis!!)

For your bash I could bring dessert, I could bring drinks, I could bring dessert, snacks and drinks, I will definitely bring Megan, but I highly doubt that DH would want anything to do with this! I know it sounds mean, but he's -- how do I put this nicely -- not nearly as friendly and outgoing as I tend to be and gets wigged out by meeting new people. I would call him anti-social, but he's a level or two just below that, but not much. And I hardly dare to say it out loud, but he really really really dislikes all things Disney. Even the Disney Channel gets the menacing glance! :confused3 A room full of people talking Disney would put him over the edge... hmmmm {{thinks evil thoughts}}. :rotfl:

So, I'll have my checkbook with me, just let me know what I owe you tonight and I'll be there with bells on!! SWEET!!

See ya!!

Slo: Congratulations on that lone ranger shopping trip. I love those too, especially at Kohl's. Sheesh, there's so much to contemplate over at that store!!

Ohhhhh! Our DH's should meet! Except mine LOVES Disney. He is going to see Wicked with us, though.

Hi everyone1 I am really enjoying the kids being in school. Ahh...the peace and quiet!
I am going to see Wicked with you guys, providing Mindy can get two more tickets reserved. I am bringing a friend (the one who's pics got erased at Epcot). I am skipping the wedding I was invited to. This will be more fun!
SamIam- H hates Disney and is pretty antisocial, too. The one time we went to WDW together was pretty miserable. I should have known! We are seperated right now. That's all I have to say about that!
Where did I leave off? Thursday we went to MK. The new pirates ride was great. We were there way early, during little one's emh. Then we did TM and SM, and then POTC. The new additions to it were great, but it is still pretty much the same. It was impressive. I can not believe how much we got done by lunch. We ate at Pinnochio's and waved to the Small World boats. We did more rides. DS was tall enough for Space Mountain, but I would not let him go. He is so skinny, and since I can't hang on to him, I was afraid he'd fall out. We did Buzz and he got a 400,000 score! I have no idea how! Mine was pretty low, but I was busy snapping pics. Gotta' keep scrapping in mind! They got to meet "Push" the talking trash can. They had a fun time asking him questions. We had dinner at Liberty Tree. DD refused to sit at the end of the table. She has a Chip and Dale phobia still. DS was being silly and putting his napkin on his head when Pluto came up and was nose to nose with him. When he pulled off the napking, DS laughed hysterically. It was great! He also smooched Minnie while she was autographing his book. We did more rides and staked out spot for Spectro Magic and wishes. They brought out balls and jump ropes to amuse the kids. DS was the only boy who skipped the rope really well! He got a round of applause. The parade was awesome. I had not seen it for many years. DS jumped when the the Big Bad Wolf stopped in front of us. DD was already hiding. DS was exhausted and climbed into the stroller clutching his Stitch. He fell asleep before Wishes. DD loved Wishes. She was so excited to see the Tink was "real". It kind of made me teary eyed. It is such a sweet age! We waited for the mob to clear and then made our way to the bus. Oh my gosh...I had to carry the sleeping 6 year old! DD managed to stay awake since she fell asleep during Country Bears!
Okay. Don't want to bore you, that is if you are still reading this! I'll add another day later!

DMM- I got a Happiest Celebration antenna topper and the Disney family window clings. Have you seen these? I got an adult woman wearing Mickey ears, a little boy with Mickey ears, and a little girl with Mickey ears. Too cute. Now I need a car to put them on!

You mean I'm NOT the only one with a husband like that?!?!?!

Or...I suppose the other answer could be - WAIT...are we sharing the same husband and don't know it? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You have pretty much summed up my DH. Although Disney is referred to "that place".
