:rotfl2: It would be nice if *someone* would find one from me! I have never had any of my bottles found! I even sent out ones that were more intriguing that "hi, where ya from?" :rotfl2: Maybe they required too much thought so disappeared.

Oh well....anyone here know my burning question of WHY do they make you take Algebra I, then Geometry, THEN Algebra II in High School. :confused3 Wouldn't it make more sense to go Algebra I then Algebra II with skipping that Geometry nonsense. It didn't make sense to me over 20 years ago when I had to take it back then & passed Geometry by the skin of my teeth (got a D but I worked HARD for that D! :lmao: ), I only took the class because I wanted to take "College Alegbra" in HS which I aced. We were looking at the HS classes here (yes my DD is only going into 7th grade, she's weird she wanted to look) -- sure enough Alegbra II prequisite was Geometry here just like it was way back when, Geometry's requirement was Algebra I. One of those "WHY?" there must be some logical reason if it is still being done that way but all I know is I loved Algebra stunk at Geometry. I put a shorter version of this on one of my bottles. :teeth:

Hiya Becky

Let's see i think there is a program HersHey...the first step is: TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER!

Becky2005 DisneyMommyMichelle I went cold turkey , It's been 15 seconds. I think I can make it.

Becky to answer your question, it's to keep the geometry teachers employed silly. No one in their right mind would take geometry unless forced! I hated every moment. But God in his infinite wisdom cursed me. I found that I love quilting which is all geometry someone is laughing at me. :rotfl:

I do remember it was the same for me in HS as well. What I'm thinking is that algebra II has a little of the geometry in it ? :confused3 I know Trigenometry(sp) has the Sin, Cosin, Tangent stuff ,which some of that has the geometry (angles) in? It's been a LONG time for me with the math, too. Maybe some of our Chicago Disers that have a high schooler and /or college age can help with that question ::yes::

good for you hersey!!

i loved Geometry!! hated ALGEBRA and anything else math related! haha!!!

You know it's really weird because that seems to be the way it goes, if I find someone likes Algebra, they will hate Geometry and vice versa.

I know I had a friend that wanted to take Triganometry -- he was forced to take Alegebra II to take it...he hated every minute & I helped him pass the class with much drilling formulas into his head.

I think it should be Alegebra I then Alegebra II; Geometry & then Triganometry IN THAT ORDER, so you aren't required to take the ones you don't even comprehend. :rotfl2:

I will say I got an A in the first quarter of Geometry when it was all theory written out statements of "If you have 2 right angles connecting you get this something or other" -- I would get it right on the test then the teacher would pick on students to EXPLAIN their answers. I was always praying to PLEASE don't have me explain the answer, I had no idea, it was all just gibberish that I put on there that seemed to make sense. However, once I had to have actual NUMBERS, those were harder to fudge so I got lots wrong, thank goodness for credit for showing your work. :rotfl2:

Has Chris been on lately?? Scrappin where are you??

Just wanted to let you know that i found Buttons (pins) that you can open up and put the picture you want inside for like 1$ at Michaels! the smaller size will fit the HD mickey head better than the HUGE one! i bought that one and had to line the back with paper!!!

ding ding ding........i think we have a winner !!
and it is rosemarie.........

yes, first math class for high schoolers is algebra I, followed by geometry and then algebra II.

algebra II is a combination of algebra I and geometry :teeth:

Hey Nicole i have a favor to ask you!!!!!

You are going to MNSSHP on the 6th right  ?

well hopefully we can meet up at MGM at blacklot express if you get a chance to meet us there and I can give you some $$. THEN can you get me the pin they have for MNSSHP released for that night? THANKS!!! OR if you want the pin for the 5th i will buy 2 and we can do an even steven exchange since they cost the same :teeth: cool thanks!! then we can just snail mail them when we get home! :goodvibes:

What other nights are peeps going???

Hi all
I hated math too. Took algebra 1 in middle school which was fine, and geometry was kind of cool, but beyond that I was math retarded. To this day I cannot stand math. Since I took 3 years off between high school math and my college math course, I had forgotten everything and that class was awful! I would never do that again even if you paid me!

Hello!!
The kids are finally in bed! We're back to our old schedule now that school starts tomorrow.
I saw some kids still out playing after 7:30 and I was thinking why aren't these kids home and taking a shower for school tomorrow!! :rotfl: Delinquint parents!! :teeth: :thumbsup2

slo I'm glad to hear that your procedure wasn't too painful. I hope you're able to take it easy!! Wishing you the best of luck on the results!!

Hersey Stop talking about that web site!!! I keep hearing that annoying 'Time In a Bottle' song in my head now!!

Michelle At least you were only dealing with washable markers. It was washable paint for Hunter and I today. Lauren was at her friends playing when we painted and she sure was mad when she got home and saw what fun she missed!! :teeth:

I am finally getting prices on a patio for my backyard!! This weekend and next week will bring estimates on a deck and retaining wall. Then we have to make up our minds which one we want, a deck or a patio! :confused3

We did the paint thing last month......never again :rotfl: at least not this month!!! Every time we do the kids turn the water colors since there is more paint on them, then on the paper!!

Hiya Bunchkin! Thats great news about the patio! You'll be sitting pretty in no time.
