Bunchkin- you are making me real hungry with those desserts! popcorn:: :woohoo:

Hi to all

Thanks Rosemarie!!! :)

Not really :guilty:
Make lunch, homework(as I'm sure they will have homework), stay home.
Chrissy will want to watch her channel 11- PBS shows in the aftenoon and watch Nickelodeon(Sponge Bob, etc).

Talking about tv, I heard Cars got nominated for best animated movie, for the Oscars :woohoo: :thumbsup2 It got nominated with Monster House and can't remember the other movie.

Hi Everyone!
Quick fly by...
Slo sorry Katie is sick...
I think we are on the mend. Thanks for all the well wishes!
PS I absolutely have SAD!
Maybe that's why we all long for WDW so badly...
Debbie

Bunchkin - MMMmmmmmmm more chocolate!!!!:goodvibes
*No, the girls didn't get a flu shot:sad2: Every year I say I should take them, and then every year I don't. I guess it's because Stephanie is so horrified of shots, that I hate to make her go through that. When she was Katie's age, she had all her ear problems, and she was such a very sick little girl. She got so many shots in a 4 month peroid, that she's never been the same since. Before all that, she was great with shots. She would hold still, and then cry just a little. Now she lashes out, screams, and it takes 3 adults to hold her down:eek: When she goes into the Pediatrician when she's sick, the first thing she asks after she says "hello" is "Do I have to get a shot?" Luckily, we've had the same Pediatrician since each girl was born, and she knows Stephanie's history, and is able to console her. I love our Pediatrician!!!!!
**Thanks for the hugs for Katie - she needs them ::yes::

See ya!!!

Slo, I grew up doing that and I still ask that to this day when I go to my Internist :sad2: Last time I went, she said it's probably time to do a blood test (to check cholesterol and all that stuff) and she saw my face and laughed and said "Well, not today, but make an appointment to come back" Yeah, that was almost a year ago maybe. :rolleyes1

Jeez-what is with all the Chicago bashing going on throught the Community Board??
I could guarantee that whatever you city in America you go to there are idiots in it. Why do a few idiots at a Bears game have to make our whole city look bad?
I think people are taking this way too seriously.

No way should someone have made a joke regarding Hurricane Katrina-but come on any sane person knows that 99.9% of Chicago residents arent like that. We all gave money and donations after the hurricane, just like every other American.

That's like me thinking all people from Louisiana show their ****s at the sight of beads, eat crawfish all day and live in the swamps like Adam Sandler in The Waterboy.

I bet a million bucks if the Saints had the better record and the Bears had to play in LA., I would have gotten a few remarks made my way for wearing my Bears hat/jersey etc. You better expect to be ridiculed for sporting another teams apparel when not in your home town. That is just sports. Every city thinks their team is the best.

Heck, I used to live in California during the Bulls/Lakers finals. I got heckled everywhere I went for wearing my Bulls stuff. Didnt bother me any.

Lighten up people.

JBurke They, Saints Fans, have a right to be mad that those rude, cruel and inhuman statements were made to them at the Bears game. The comments had nothing to do with their team or the shirts/jerseys that were worn. It was not 'normal heckeling' in my book. It went beyond that, and I can see their point and understand their anger.
HOWEVER, this does not give one cause to take it out on all Chicago area people and/or fans of the Bears. I loose compassion for people who show none themselves.

I don't understand how many times people can offer apologies, yet it's still brought up over and over.

It's frustrating when people specifically choose not to read/understand what you are saying.

sorry, venting.

Bunchkin Hello I'm trying to diet here:rotfl: Those pictures are not helping.

JBurke:wave2: Another Carol Streamer here

I'm convinced people love to complain or :stir: up trouble, that makes them very happy.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

"......We're not here to start no trouble. I just came to do the Super Bowl Shuffle!" :dance3:

Hey all, Katie is up and is a little more perky - the Motrin is working (for now:rolleyes: )

Sometimes I wish this laptop wasn't on the kitchen table, because than I won't be sitting here as much.

Stephanie is currently at CCD, and I'm now killing time while Katie is watching Jay Jay the Jet Plane.

Debbie - I'm glad to hear you are all feeling better:) Thanks for the PD for Katie.

Jedi - Kevin also has a needle phobia ::yes:: Did you have something that caused yours, or do you just have it? Kevin has a very bad memory of getting his blood taken as a boy, and now he's scared of needles (only on himself, he's fine when it's with other people, which is good, since he is an EMT)

Bunchkin - Yeah, I saw it

JBurke and justaquestion - Welcome to our thread :cool1: !!! Please come visit anytime!!!

HERSEY - I agree!!! There are some people who just love confrontation!!!

Well, I'm going to start some dinner
Have a good night!!!

:lmao: You should post that on the other thread

I don't think so! ;)

I have to say that I love New Orleans!!
Has anyone else ever been there?

The French Quarter is/was a gorgeous, historical and wonderful place. Last time I was there was many years ago before Katrina. And right before Katrina I was discussing with Tony how I'd like to go back. I had even sent away for all kinds of info packets from their tourism site.

Anyway..........the closest I'm getting to New Orleans any time soon will be in the New Orleans section of Disneyland this spring! :)

Did anyone ever notive that the parts of the Super Bowl Shuffle with Walter Payton and Jim McMahon were edited in? They didn't perform with the rest of the group at the same time. :confused3

Shhh.....I never liked the 'Punky QB'!!! :scared1:

Tidbit for ya' all: I played half time at a Bears game with my high school marching band. I got to meet Jim Rose from channel 7 news and Richard Dent. Jim Rose was a lot taller then I thought he would be and Richard is a HUGE man!!:rotfl:
