Doing much better now. I feel kind of guilty babbling to you guys all the time now and you don't even know me. I'll try and hold back. Just happy to find Disney fanatics like myself to talk to!
Don't sweat the haircut. It could've happened at any time, any moment when you were busy doing ANYthing else: dinner, dishes, laundry, housecleaning (Yeah, right! :rotfl: ) No, seriously, it could have. I'm J/K with ya! ;)

Babble away! In case you haven't noticed, we're good at listening. :goodvibes :grouphug:

We had to buy a new furnace last week :sad2:.
Sorry to hear that. At least it's better now than in the middle of Jan. :cold:

About 12:20 AM here and, my smoke/CO detector just started 'beeping'. Battery must be low/dying. What a time tho! At least I'm up and able to change the thing. ;) Isn't daylight savings time the weekend to check/change those batteries anyway? :confused3 I guess I'm ahead of the game now. :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend everyone! :sunny: :grouphug:

Good Sat morning-
I'm going back to bed after this post ;)
Sorry I never came back to post last night. We had dinner, then hte kids had their showers, we watched Deal or No Deal and Nanny 911 in between the bath/ showers. Then as soon as hte kids went to bed, dh and I(mostly me) was exhausted and fell asleep right away on the couch.

Can't remember if anyone asked how my kids' conferences went on Thurs and doctor appt yest? Everything went well with conferences. It was nice Chrissy's teacher wasn't so pushy this yr as she was last yr. Long story about that for another time ;) .
Doctors appt for Chrissy went well yest, too.

Princess Mindy- glad you are doing better from surgery :grouphug: :wizard:

Becky- I hear you, about hte tantrums and finding a costume( not always together, tho). My dd has lots of tantrums just in general when she doesn't get what she wants  It drives me crazy  . We do time-outs and once in a while spanking- I know not good :guilty:
But when you have a child who is very strong-willed, you have to resort to this stuff, disciplining.
And I also don't like Halloween, for the costumes, either. It costs money to have them wear a costume for a few hours. Last yr, I just bought a black cape and hat at Target for Matthew. I really didin't even know what he was supposed to be, but I was so sick of buying these $20, $30 costumes every yr. I bought Chrissy bunny ears and a pink sweat pants, she already had a pink top. She was a bunny last yr- costed me less than $10 for her costume. This yr, she wants to be Sandy from hte Sponge Bob tv show. I haven't even looked for that costume yet, if there even is one.
The only thing from Halloween I do like is the candy!

Debbie6221- hope all goes well with hte kids' do it yourself haircut :teeth:

Tiggerrn- You are leaving really soon for hte World, right? Have a great trip!! :yay:

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!!! :surfweb:

Here is my first installment of my trip report :teeth:

Tampa Area!!

For the first couple of days we stayed with Kevins parents in a timeshare condo on The Gulf of Mexico. The days consist of sleeping in, walking the beach, playing in the pool, having lunch, relaxing in the room, go out to dinner, walk the beach some more, and then go to bed. It is very very relaxing there!!!

I rented my very first jet ski there this year. Kevin had his own too, and we went out for 2 hours - lots and lots of fun!!!

Here are the girls playing on the beach

pics114.jpg

I love the sunsets there. They are so beautiful!!!

pics172.jpg

Going to WDW

On Sunday, September 24 is when we checked into The Poly. We stayed in the Hawaii building, which is the concierge building. We really enjoy having the lounge with the girls. But like I said, this is our last year there.

pics194.jpg

After we checked in, we drove to DTD to give Stephanie a huge surprise, and that was her going to the BBB Salon. She was so excited about getting her makeover.

pics803.jpg

After her makeover we went to The Contemporary for dinner at Chef Mickey's. We had the first sitting, which I was happy with, so I could get pictures of these before they were touched.

pics218.jpg

Dinner at Chef Mickey's was better than I remembered. The last time we were there for dinner was 6 years ago - we normally go for breakfast. The girls loved seeing all the characters the very first day, especially Mickey!!!

pics230.jpg

After dinner we went back to DTD to some more shopping - I love shopping at DTD!!!

pics264.jpg

After shopping until 10:30 pm, we called it a day, and went back to The Poly to get some sleep.

Monday - MK Day!!!!

The next morning came way to early. We had an ADR at The Crystal Palace at 8:05am (to early!!!) The only reason why it was this early so we could go on The Family Magic Tour at 10am. We love The Crystal Palace for breakfast, it is our favorite breakfast, and it is tradition for us to go there on our MK Day.

pics300.jpg

pics283.jpg

At 7:50am in the morning before we checked into The Cystal Palace, I was able to get a good picture of the castle, under construction.

pics278.jpg

After breakfast we headed over to The Town Hall to catch our tour. It was alot of fun. It was a scavanger hunt for kids, and the tour guide kept the parents really involved too. The tour was based on Peter Pan, which was great!!! At the end of the tour Peter Pan and Wendy joined us and played with the kids for approx. an hour - it was great!!! They even took us to Mickey's Philharmagic and sat with the kids through the whole show. Stephanie took and instant liking to Peter Pan, and Katie loved Wendy. I asked the tour guide if the characters always do this and he said, not always. He said it depends on the day, and normally it's just one of the them. He said that today was our lucky day!!!!

pics606.jpg

After the tour we headed over to Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain and then started saving our spot for the 3pm parade, which has changed. Stephanie said she liked this parade better :thumbsup2

pics319.jpg

After the parade we went back to The Poly because it was so hot, even my kids were asking to leave (when they are asking to leave, you know they are hot!!!) So we went back to the resort and Kevin took Steph to the pool, and I stayed back and gave Kate a shower and her lay down for awhile. We stayed and ate dinner at the hotel (in the lounge) and then went back to the MK to line up for my favorite parade, SPECTROMAGIC!!!!!

pics534.jpg

After the parade we stayed for WISHES and then we headed back to The Poly. It was a long day and we were all tired. We went to bed to start another day tomorrow.

To be continued.................

So...how is everyone today on this Saturday?

We are good here. We are taking the girls to the pumpkin patch today so we can decorate the outside of the house. What a beautiful fall day to do this too :thumbsup2

Debbie - We love The Concourse Steakhouse, it's one of our favorite restaurants. If you like Filet Mignon (sp?), get it, it's awesome!!!! :goodvibes
**I'm sorry about the hair cutting incident :guilty: . My oldest cut her hair once, and I wasn't too happy about it either, but like you said, it will grow back!!

HERSEY - I'm glad you had a good time at The Museum - I like the fairy castle too princess:

Rosemarie - I fall asleep on the couch every night (I'm not kidding). I don't in the summer, but I sure do this time of year. I don't know if it's the colder weather and it getting dark out earlier :confused3 , but I sit on the couch, wrap up in a blanket, and I'm sleeping
**I'm glad everything well the last couple of days with the doctor and the teacher :)

Leigh - Luckily, the doctors caught this disease soon enough that it should't effect his heart. They are going to monitor him closely.

Becky - I don't mind older children going trick-or-treating as long as they dress up and are courteous to the younger children. There's nothing that bugs me more than older kids not dressing up, running around with pillowcases, almost knocking little kids off stairs so they can get candy - they act like they never had a piece of candy before. But, if she's willing to dress up, I think it's okay :thumbsup2
**Hearing your story about her attitute makes me scared to be a mother of a teenager too  Stephanie already shows some of that attitude at age 8 - what's she going to be like in 5 years?? :confused3 I try to not think about it

Joe - That's a bummer about buying a new furnace :guilty: That's a big expense!!!

Kim - I'm glad I'm not the only one with the furnace on ;)

Well, I best be going and feed us some breakfast and then jump into the shower. Have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo -- Loved the pictures!!! We had Wendy & Peter Pan too for our FMT.

Peter was great -- besides scaring the living daylights out of DS-6 when he jumped out, the tour guide caught DS. He swung him around so he could see it was Peter then my son started laughing.

I was turned around looking for the hook, so didn't see it, I just hear my kid scream and by the time I turn around (which was really split second) to see what was happening, I see it in slow motion of my son bolting toward the roped off part, the tour guide catching him and then DS cracking up before I had time to react. It was a really funny scene. The tourguide said he had never seen a child bolt so fast like that before but DS just happened to be standing right where Peter jumped out.

Then Peter had to deal with my older son freaking out at the idea of seeing Mickey's Philharmagic due to getting wet. Peter was great though with that.

This is the one tour my kids have requested to go on again. I can hardly wait because we didn't take the little guy last time as I didn't want to deal with a stroller on it (DH would be so grumpy on it, I didn't even WANT him to go -- he would have been a party pooper!), so he took the baby back to the room and they played. I can't wait to go again. (DS-9 saw the pictures and was asking "who is that? Researching going again?" I asked him if he wanted to go again and he said "Yeah, definitely" :thumbsup2 )

Slo- Loving the pics, esp the chocolate! That is the same Wendy we saw in Aug, dif Peter, though.
Debbie- I love the food pics thread. I got lots of ideas about what to try on my last trip. Posted on it when I got back.
DD (5) gave her hair a little trim before our last trip! She does not have bangs, but gave herself a little chunk of them. She also "accidentally" got a hole in a new Tink t. Hmmm...that girl and scissors do not mix!
Mindy- Get better soon!
Becky- I am scared for when dd is a teen. She's got 'tude already!

Hey everyone! What's going on? Went to Woodfield yesterday. Got lots of bargains for the kids. TDS clearance additional 50% off! Got ds a POTC t. Also ate at Cheesecake Factory. Today, my sis and her bf are taking the kids to a monster truck show. Glad I got out of that! Tommorow we are going to Fright Fest.
Have a great day!

I love those pix!!!!! Thanks for sharing. Your family is adorable.
I am so excited about our trip next week.

The kids have colds now though so I really hope we are better by then and no one else gets sick. Now is about when my obsessive worrying kicks in. I start to obsess about everything that can go wrong (not even thinking about things like hair cutting incidences). By the way....I am over that. It honestly doesn't look that bad THANK GOODNESS. :sad2:
My daughter is just a little pistol though! princess:
I hope everyone has a nice weekend. I am going to try and limit how much I'm sitting down at the computer. It's just very new to me and I LOVE talking to people who "understand" the whole Disney thing. We will see how it goes. It IS a nice little get away from my chores! :laundy:

By the way...are you guys all WDW or are some of you DL people too? ::MickeyMo

Slo,
Love the trip report!! Sounds like you's had a great time!! :)

Slo- really enjoyed your 1st half of your trip report and the pics!! I take it your parents went with throughout the whole trip, or the Tampa part?
Who watched the girls while you and Kevin were jet skiing? That's why I thought your parents went with on the trip.
I never heard of the Family Magical Tour before. Sounds like you all had a great time doing the tour and being with Peter Pan and Wendy!!

Debbie 6221-glad you enjoy our company! Unfortunatley, my family and I hardly go to WDW, more of financial reasons, tho we would love to again sometime(hopefully sometime soon)! I'm just here for the community with all these fine DISers! :thumbsup2

Hi to paintnolish, Crissup, Becky, and everyone else :wave2:

Have a good Saturday!

Well hello everyone!! We all had such a great time at WDW, I want to go back. The weather was so nice there, no rain.

Hi Amy! I already love it!

your staying at GF, DH and I saw GF from the boat we were on and we fell in love with it, it was so BIG, we want to stay there next time we go.

Yeah WE LOVE GF!!!!!! We have gone to Disney with Grandma, Bappa, Mom, Dad, Daughter and Uncle every year since my daughter was born in 2002. She is tall enough for more rides now! She is 3 (turning 4 in November)and is 41 inches tall. We go to WDW October 11th for an EIGHT night stay and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!! My son (who will be on his first vacation)will turn ONE there on the 12th and my parents will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary there on the 15th. I can not get enough of that place! I wish I could go more.
:happytv: I have already watched the WDW DVD every day along with Disney's Beach Party DVD. Those DVD's and CD's of the WDW experience (ie. parade, shows, rides, etc.) are a little pricey but worth EVERY penny when you come home and need to take yourself back there in your day to day life!

We charged this trip on the Disney Visa so we have 6 months interest free to pay it off thank goodness. Otherwise OH BOY.....
We went a little overboard because of the two special occasions!
I'm rambling...I apoligize.

Deb,
Your killing me :rotfl2: Have you stoped typing on the last 4 days? 3 days then we head down :drive: :drive: . kids are asking how many days till disney and the one phrase I'm not looking forward to hearing is " ARE WE THERE YET?" Yikes  . The cruise is what I'm looking to the most and the food onboard  My son is 6 and is old enough to do the fishing excursion on castaway cay which is going to be so cool. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to post pictures when we get back.
