Chi flat iron

My DD wants a Chi flat iron for Christmas.........can anyone tell me if there is anything in particular I need to know. Also, where is the best place to get one. Mind you..........Budget friendly.

Yes, My DD also. I just got one on drugstore.com for $71 shipped. That is the best price I have seen. Now....I have to find ugg boots, have a feeling there are just NO deals on those......

Target has a 1 inch pure pink and true blue CHI for $99, with $15 giftcard in its circulur this week. DD has had her eye on the true blue; however, she already has a black one which works perfectly.

JCP has one for about the same this week.

I got mine at Kohl's Black Friday last year. The crowd just wasn't worth it. I think I paid about $70.

I bought DD one at TJ Maxx. We had to return it. It had some odd functions and really wasn't just a CHI Flat iron. Did not do a good job. Just be sure of what you are buying.

LOVE my chi iron!! Amazon had them on Friday for under $50. Not sure what the price is today. I got mine from amazon 2 years ago and use it every day.

I was looking at QVC's schedule, and they have the Chi listed 7 times tomorrow. Not sure if that means it is a TSV or not, but it's worth a look on 11/14; their prices are usually pretty good.

My dd and I use the Chai quite a few times during the week.
We have used it so much, we have worn out the pads and the color is coming off. She hasn't asked for a new one for Christmas (she is a HS senior and has Uggs, Coach Rainboots, Senior Trip to Disney, etc. already on her list) but I plan on getting her a new one as a surprise so she can bring a new good one away to college with her.
I'm at work all day tomorrow but will look on the qvc site to see the prices tomorrow.

I also see that Kohls has one for sale on BF and thinking about buying that online Thanksgiving night but that will depend on tomorrow's QVC prices. JCP also has some on sale now too I think.

i just bought a purple zebra print chi @ Marshals for 69.99
I havent had a chance to try it out so tomorrow when dd is at school I will test it. I hope it works great. She loves the color purple and is into animal print. Just wish it was purple cheetah but zebra will do. I bought my black chi at Sam's club or Costco a few years ago and love it. If you find one at Tj max, marshals or ross just make sure to test it out. To me its easier to return to a store then deal with shipping. Good luck

Try to stick with the standard one inch Chi. I've had the turbo Chi and one other one and the original standard one inch one is the best. The others didn't get as hot.

Just bought one on Amazon.com last week for $47 (super saver free shipping). DD does all-star cheerleading. We've used it three times and it works like a dream! Wish I would've bought one sooner.

I noticed on Amazon there are a lot for cheaper prices...what's the difference. DD had a Conair which only lasted a year and now needs a new one.

1st off not all Chi's are the "real deal". Google it. The real deal is available in licensed salons such as JC Penney. There are things to look for to determine if it is the real deal. Like the on/off buttons are different and there were a couple other things.

Last year I bought a Chi International from Kohl's for like $80ish, but after doing my homework and realizing it was not what I wanted I returned it.

Instead I ended up at Penny's.

2nd off - we're not loving it. DD has really think hair and it's not all that.

I love my chi! I have very thick hair and it is also naturally curly. Before the flat iron craze I would blow dry my long thick hair then have to lay on it to smash it down-lol! Just think "cousin it"

If i was lucky and sister was in a good mood she would iron it for me, yes i said iron my hair, got it super straight-lol!

With my chi i recently noticed if i do less hair and run it slowly it does an amaxing job. I had always been in a hurry so i would get a thick bunch of hair and quickly run the flats iron through and it would do an ok job but still thick. Smaller sections and run it slower down the hair makes my hair look super straight and better results good luck!oh and people that dont know i have natural curly hair always say what beautiful straight hair i have-lol

The first one we bought came from a salon and we still have it. Purchased a second from ULTA and it was crap, one of the ones made in Mexico. Quit working. One daughter is now using one of the temperature adjustable ones and it seems okay for her, really think hair. The other is using a super pricey FHI one I purchased from my stylist, it's great. Do your research, they're not all the same and not all of them are worth it.
