I purchased DVC PAPs for my DD, DSiL and DGD 2 1/2 (DD is DVC member as well as DH and myself). Also, purchased 2 each for DH and myself. Plan to activate one set of ours this month and the second set in Dec 2013 giving us the benefit of reduced rate and "extras" 2013 and 2014.

When purchased, plans were for DD's family to make trips to WDW with us in May 2013, Dec 2013 and May 2014---getting 3 trips from the PAPs for the adults and 2 for DGD who will turn 3 in July. Now, they are not sure the Dec 2013 trips will happen. I know these vouchers need to be activated before
Dec 31, 2013. My question is---can we active the PAP for DGD before she is 3 years old? Can we activate the PAP for her in May 2013?

Thanks.

You may want to PM directly. I know you can activate passes normally without the person being there but in this case I don't know. Also, all adults will have to prove address the same as a member to activate the DVC passes as I understand it. Your SIL may be an issue in that area.

This is my Son-in-law, so should not be a problem. My daughter is also a DVC member on our contract and she and hubby are at the same address.

I'll sent PM as you suggested.

Thanks

Great, enjoy your trip. Do PM but I'm sure you'll be fine.

My personal thought on this is that although the vouchers will have expired, you will not lose the $399 (plus tax) for each voucher. On a future trip the vouchers could be used as that value towards any current AP.

I'd really rather have DGD's voucher activated at the same time her parents activate their's in May 2013. Unless Guest Services would ask for proof of her age, no one would know she was 2 months short of 3 years old. Do you see that being a problem?

They will still ask for her date of birth. You should give the accurate date; they have to put it in the system. Just explain what is going on. The person in the booth may think you are nuts, but....
