I read your sticky and I had just a few questions. Any help would be fantastic!! TIA

1) I purchased my FL SAP on mpp. I was told by a phone CM that if I purchase a package including tickets/food/room (free dining involved) that I can save the tickets and have them applied to my SAP renewal. Is this true?

1a) If so, can they be applied to the renewal in conjuction with mpp? For example, I get a 1 day ticket, use that towards the renewal then continue to use the mpp, as I did before. ( I am prepared for the price to increase a bit, say an extra $2 a month, if that is the way it works)

2) If I don't get those tickets, and plan on renewing, can I continue on the mpp. (I am assuming there would be a deposit due again, then the monthly payments start immediately.) If that is the case, where I can continue the mpp, can I upgrade to a regular AP during the renewal period without penalty. And what I mean by penalty, as I am sure you know but in case I am wrong, is that in the MPP contract if you want to upgrade to a higher AP you have to pay the entire amount difference between the SAP and the AP, it is not charged monthly. (I saw this after the fact (I didn't read the whole contract, which was my own fault, not complaining just explaining) and declined to get the regular AP upgrade at the time). I would love to be able to upgrade during the renewal time, if it is possible, without penalty of course. Otherwise I would just keep my SAP and be happy I can go to WDW all year round minus blackout dates of course. ;)

I realized that for the amount of day trips I make, I could have saved on parking, approx 10 day trips worth of parking equals the savings of SAP vs the regular AP(where is the face palm smily when you need it) :thumbsup2

1. Yes. Check Post 15-G in the sticky.

1a. Yes. Renewal using the MPP does not require any down payment. However, you can apply a ticket as the down payment, which will reduce the monthly payments.

2. Two parts. (a) you do not have to make a down payment on a renewal. (b) you may upgrade or downgrade between AP levels at renewal time and you will pay the renewal price of the new pass.

3. Even though you currently have some AP on the MPP, you may upgrade at any time during the year by paying the difference between the two levels at the time of the upgrade; the MPP payment will not change.

So glad you asked this question. I never could take advantage of the periodic free dining because I didn't need the tickets required in a package. Also, I totally agree with your assessment of the value added by the free parking with the standard AP. I have the regular FL AP, so I don't have to evaluate whether I want to spend $15 (or whatever parking is now); I just go. Conversely, I'm finding it hard to get my money's worth out of my Busch AP since I didn't get the free parking version of that. I don't go for just a few hours here and there. (Probably did it backwards since I'm closer to Busch and more likely to go for a short period of time, but oh well.)

:worship:Thanks so much for your expertise and info!! :worship:

I did read the stickies but was still unsure. I wanted to make sure I could continue using the MPP, after this year contract is up. I am new to this and didn't want any surprises! :scared1:

When the renewal time comes up, I am definately going to upgrade to a regular AP. I might even do it sooner, if the opportunity (extra $$$) presents itself.
