Jaycee: "oh. I dated a guy freshman year, he was a nice guy but we just weren't right together, so I broke up with him, then I dated a jerk the summer between freshman and sophomore year, and then Jordan..and now you" she looked down.

Jaycee: "I really should get going. I'll see you tomorrow." She hopped down from the book case and walked out of the dark school. She went to her car and drove home. A block from her house a car pulled out in front of her. She honked her horn but the car parked. A man got out. Her heart sank with fear until her headlights illuminated the face of her brother.

Jasper: he put his arm up blocking the lights and went to her window.

Jaycee: She rolled down the window "Jasper? What are you doing?"

Jasper: "are you kidding me?!" he said clear anger and frustration in his voice "what are you doing!?"

Jaycee: "what, what do you mean?"

Jasper "do you know what time it is?! Mom and dad are not happy with you!"

Jaycee: "What do you mean? they would have called if they were worried. It's fine Jasper."

Jasper: "Jaycee! Check. Your. Phone."

Jaycee: She pulled her phone out and her eyes widened. "I never turned the sounds on." She had at least twenty missed calls and texts from each of her parents and Jasper. "Jasper, I was at the library. I didn't realize how late it was. I-I" she spoke quickly. "Jasper! what do I do?!" her eyes filled with tears.

Jasper: "You're going to park your car here, and we're going to get into mine and go home."

Jaycee: "what? I don't understand."

Jasper: "after you had them fully panicked they called me. I told them your car broke down and you were fine and with me. I have been out here for hours waiting for you."

Jaycee: "are you serious?"

Jasper: "yes."

Jaycee: "but why? you could have just let me get in trouble like I deserve."

Jasper: "you're my sister, and I love you. But this. Right now. Is the only time I will bail you out like this. Got it?"

Jaycee: she nodded "yes."

Jasper: "Now let's go."

Jaycee: she nodded and pulled her car over to the side of the road parking it. She got out and hugged Jasper quickly, tears ran down her face. "I love you. Thank you."

Jasper: he nodded "you're welcome" he whispered hugging her back. 'Now dry you tears or we'll be suspicious." He got into his own car with her and drove home.
