Marcus: "yes you are. Y-you know what? I-I'm putting too much of a burden on you, aren't I? M-maybe we should take a break for a little while. Let me get a job and stuff, then maybe we could get back together? I love you so very much, and I know I need to get better."

Marcus: tears filled his eyes and he hugged her. "I'm so sorry, Marilyn. I don't want to leave you, but I just-I want you to be happy. I want you to be proud of me. And you can't, at least not yet. P-please, I'm begging you, please don't take the ring off your finger. Please. I just need a few weeks to get a job and to make something out of myself, so you can be proud. I love you so much."
