Chef's or Spoodles

Hi,
I can't speak to Chef's, as I've never eaten there, but we ate at Spoodles two weeks ago while staying at BWV, and it was very disappointing! The menu seemed very limited and the food was mediocre at best. My husband had a pasta dish that he said was okay, but I ordered lemon chicken that was so dry I couldn't eat it (sent it back). The servers were concerned and offered to have something else prepared, but by that time my daughter was exhausted, so I passed. I heard that they recently changed Spoodles from a tappas restaurant to a more typical one. With all of the other choices available, I have to say that I don't think we'll eat at Spoodles again.

That's just my opinion, though!

I've only eaten at Spoodles, and I had a much better experience than Keara's mom. We really enjoyed it, and thought the menu was really varied. I think it also depends on if you're looking for a character meal or not, and maybe if you're looking for breakfast or dinner... I'd go to Spoodles if it were me....they had a squash soup that was really good too!

I've never eaten at Chef's, but we were at Spoodles last week.

It was fine - nothing to rave about.

I felt the same way about Le Cellier at Epcot. It gets such high marks from almost everyone on these boards, and we thought it was okay. Nothing special.

Different strokes, I guess.

Thanks for your inputs. I've dined at Spoodles twice before. The first time (2002) was very good. The second time (2003) was just ok. Never been to Chef's before. I'm a picky eater, but it looks like I can find stuff at both places.

Spoodles used to have this great tapas menu -- nothing too over the top but interesting food you couldn't get everywhere -- and it was fantastic. We went last year and while the breakfast was still good, the dinner was mediocre. BRING BACK THE OLD MENU!!!!!!

Am leaning more towards Chef's from reading your remarks. Never been to this restaurant before and it looks like items I would enjoy. Would this be better for lunch or dinner?
