chefs De France????

I believe Raratouille is only there at lunch. We've seen him three times at our later lunches. Somewhere I believe there is a schedule. The first two times we saw him, he was operated by a waiter. In May it was a waitress. She and Ratatouille sang Happy Birthday to my husband since he was wearing his birthday button that day. It was lots of fun.

I've never been for dinner but the lunch is excellent. We like to eat around 1:30 to 2:30 and order the three course fixed menu. It is our main meal of the day - we just snack during Illuminations for dinner. The lobster bisque and French onion soup are hard to choose between! I usually get the quiche but my daughter gets the mac & cheese so we put some of each on the bread plate and share. Profiteroles and creme brulee are also a toss up for dessert! We highly recommend this meal to others.

And for those who will tell you that the food is not "real" French - you will get all kinds of food in France. Pizza Hut or McDonald's on every corner! And even when you eat the "real" French food at the local Bistro, it is not always very good. Trust me - I've been to France!

Thanks for all of the wonderful posts! My husband and I have reservations there for lunch in 2 weeks and we're excited. It'll be our first time at the restaurant, so the pictures and reviews were very helpful! Thanks again!

It's not what you'd get in Paris, but the food is pretty good, imo. I love their mac 'n' cheese.

DH and I rotate when we eat there. We'll either do the prix fixe lunch: I'll get the onion soup a'la carte (he'll get one as his first course on the 3 course lunch) and we'll split the croque monsieur sandwich and the creme brulee and madeline cookie.

Or (our alternate) we'll each have onion soup and split the mac n'cheese. We'll even ask for a bit of extre Guyere for us to add to it if we don't think that it's 'cheesy' enough.

They're both enough for both of us- and we don't leave the restaurant feeling miserably full.

Enjoy!

Mais oui, but after all this is Disney World not Paris. Our family loves Chefs. The servers can be a bit stuffy but we find they really open up when the kids start practicing their high school French.

I think the food there is like a boxed frozen dinner. The quality is definitely lacking, which is a very poor representation of French food. I would avoid the place.

You must have really great boxed frozen dinners where you live! ;)

I LOVE Chefs de France - especially "the Menu" at lunch time.

Remy makes 3 appearances throughout the day. We never go for lunch and always go for dinner and we have seen Remy those times.

To see Remy would be so very very neat!

Thanks for more pictures. I told my daughter to brush up on her HS French, we are definately eating there.

it's French cafe food...think basic French diner food. Not "fine" French dining. The menu is in French & English, so easy for all to understand.

1) Correct on all counts.
2) Your daughter can order in French, and they can understand.
3) You should be fine with getting meat-and-potatoes, but with a French slant.
4) For "fine" French dining, go upstairs to Bistro.
