Since I could not get Le Cellier I booked Chefs de France instead. The menu looks great, what experiences has anyone had there? Also if you have any pics that would great! Thanks!

I have had a late lunch and a dinner there. I actually enjoyed lunch more as the lunch French Menu was sooooooo good and we were one of 3 parties in the entire place so our service and atmosphere was esp fantastic. Dinner was very tasty, though the restaurant was packed and we were pretty darn close to the party next to us. The service was fantastic then as well.

I've enjoyed all the items I have tasted, including the meals my family tried ;)

I really enjoy this, and it is one of my mom's favorites when she comes along.

It's casual French, not five-star, but it's good food and we have always had gracious service. Somehow we always get seated along the windows looking out into the 'street' and I have heard about people who feel crowded, like the pp, but we have never had that issue. Maybe it's the illusion created by the windows...?

On a side note, how odd it is that all of the discussion of French cuisine in Florida is being carried so far by women from Texas? :confused3

We loved our lunch there. It's one of my DS's favorite places in all WDW.

We've had a great dinner there and a so-so lunch. The poor server at lunch was brand new and seemed a little confused.....

Had dinner there a couple of weeks ago. Had the filet -- honestly, it wasn't good at all. I ordered it medium, and it was charred! Plus, the potatoes were pretty flavorless. Enjoyed the sorbet for dessert, but that was about it it.

Le Cellier is much better, in my opinion. And Narcoossee's puts them all to shame!

We had dinner there Sunday night. Ordered the cheese plate, the walnut salad, the onion soup as starters. DH had the vegetarian lasagna and really loved it. I had the duck breast and leg confit and thought it was just so-so. I thought I would love it, but the sauce was off, the leg was chewy (the breast was outstanding, though). The haricot verts were good, but the sweet potato was just wrong. Needed either something sweet or spicy, plus salt to make it edible.

We both had the lemon tart with tangerine sorbet, and they were excellent. I really enjoyed the whole meal!

We enjoyed Chefs - honestly the best 2 items ordered at our table were the mac&cheese and the short ribs...the Tuna and the Filet weren't great. Definitely choose the flatbread (the onion and bacon) for appy - soooo yummy!

We have eaten there twice and both times were delicious. I have a few pictures in my WDW trip report in my siggie (scroll to the very end of my report, it was the last place we ate). Try to get a seat by the window- the view is nice and it is a fun spot to people watch. Their French onion soup is delicious.

We were there during one of the bigest electrical/rain storms of Hurricane Fay (and there were a lot of rainstorms for that 6 days!). We sat by the window and it was hilarious to see people trying to run away from the rain...too funny! It was downpouring so hard you couldn't see the bridge! We took our time with dessert and coffee so we didn't have to go out in it.

I thought the appetizers were very good - we had the escargots and the onion soup. We did have to ask for aditional dinner rolls for the escargots, thought, and I found this odd as most French restaurants I have been to serve some kind of toast or crusty bread with their snails for sopping up all of the delicious garlic butter.

The entrees were very unimpressive. DH had the duck and said it was cold and bland and the leg was pretty awful (and the breast, from my vantage point, looked overdone for duck). I had the short ribs and they were bland, and served with plain, unbuttered noodles (when a braised shortrib really screams out for a creamier side, like mashed potatoes or yams). I only ate the meat and left the crummy noodles.

The food REALLY screamed out for more seasoning. Black pepper and salt helped, but I expected more herbs and spices instead of the "Morrison's Cafeteria" blandness we encountered.

Also, our server was not very good. We waited forever between the appetizers and the entree, and only about 10 minutes after we had been served, he aldready started asking if we were done & could he remove our plates. Perhaps he was not used to Americans actually putting their silverware down between bites. Anyway, when I actually *was* finished, I placed my napkin on the table to signal I was done and he quickly whisked my plate away.

All in all, it was a pretty crappy birthday dinner and I am glad we didn't bother ordering desserts there and prolonging the misery (we got pastries and coffee at the patisserie instead). Our dinner the next night at Le Cellier was great by comparison, and actually a pretty good meal by any standards.

I have been there and really enjoyed it!!! I love the French onion soup. I had the mac and cheese and it was good. I forgot to take a picture of it. i have pictures in my dining review.

we ate there on NYE, the duck was so-so like someone else said, and for me it was b/c of the sauce.. not too good. I did LOVE the cheese plate though and the french onion soup...MMMMMMM, the puff pastry w/ ice cream and chocolate sauce was ok, would've been better w/ warm chocolate sauce not cold!
