I'm trying to eat at all new places this vacation and I don't know which French restaraunt is better. I think Bistro is considered Signature while Chefs is special/unique dining. I don't know if that means anything. Do you guys have opinions on which is better?

If you want a wonderful adult experience and you aren't traveling with children head to Le Bistro. This is a very small, intimate restuarant, no rushing, lots of time between courses, great wine list.

Chefs is also excellent, more family oriented, type of place.

We enjoy them both for different reasons. We have always had excellent food and service in both.

Thanks for the advice. It's just going to be me and my mom and as we're both adults and could probably use a nice, relaxed meal I think i'll go with Bistro.

Bistro
. . . quiet
. . . well appointed
. . . few, if any kids (no kids menu, and they are discouraged)
. . . nice view from window tables
. . . super-duper service
. . . a nice and leisurely 1½-2 hour meal
. . . great wine cellar
. . . really great menu
. . . super-duper service

NOTE: This is one of the only five TS places (only two are Disney-owned) at which we eat in WDW.

Sounds incredible! My sister might be joining us and she's a wine connoisseur! I talked to her on the phone and she was wondering how strict Disney was (or if they do this at all) on checking I.D. I look way older than her even though she's three years older than me! She always has her I.D. checked at bars, etc. and she wasn't planning on brining a purse into the park. Should I tell her to bring her I.D. just in case she wants a drink with dinner? I'd hate for her to have to be carded at dinner but at least she can prove she's 21.

I prefer the Bistro over Chefs.. we did not have a good meal there last March, Chefs that is, and the service was not good.. Upstairs, you get what you are paying for is my opinion..

Thanks. I am hoping to try it for the first time during my December trip. Oh well, 2 more months before I can make the reservation.

I'm planning on calling EXACTLY 30 days before my trip XD

People keep saying that it's upstairs. What does that mean? Is it above Chefs or something?

Yes, it is above Chefs. Follow the path past chefs towards the pastry shop. When you make the first left hand turn, the entrance will be to your left.

Bistro SHOULD be better than Chefs! The prices are significantly higher. My DW and I have always had very good meals at CdF and we love the atmosphere, especially if we get a table by the windows. The only problem is that the menu does not change very often. :( I suggest you check the menu at Bistro de Paris before you make up your mind. If you like the selections, I am sure you will enjoy it.

Thanks for the info! Is it near the Eiffel tower? I haven't really explored the World Showcase in depth (i'm planning on spending two days in Epcot this time) so I don't know my way around the French pavilion XD

Thanks!
