After reading several posts here, I am really torn. I can't decide if I want to take my daughter to Chef Mickeys for dinner on her birthday. If it were you, would you take her here or somewhere else?

We are on the dining plan and already going to several other places but still I don't want her b-day dinner to be horrible. :sad2:

Suggestions?

TIA!!!!

We have always had good luck with Chef Mickey's. Just like everyplace at WDW there are mixed reviews, but all in all it is a great meal!

We love it and would not hesitate take our child there for a birthday meal. We've been to both dinner and breakfast and were pleased with both meals.

Have a great time no matter where you choose to go!

In all of our trips, Chef Mickey's has become the one restaurant we MUST do for each visit. We have never been disappointed in food selection, quality, or character interaction. I know many here have a very negative view of CM, but we just love it and can't imagine a Disney trip without it. I think it would be perfect for a birthday celebration for one of any age. In fact, we will be celebrating my father's 70th birthday on our next trip and will be at CM for our special dinner.

Chef Mickey's was a super fun time when we went. The food was well prepared and to temperature. The Prime rib was great. But if they're down to the very end of a roast, wait for the next one. It won't take long. When we went they had a seafood penne pasta that was really good. They had a salmon with a Mango something or another sauce and it was really good. They had seafood salad. They also had some plain stuff but all in all it was a good meal and the characters were really fun. We went about 6:20 pm for Dinner.

We've only ever done Chef Micky's for breakfast but it's become a 'must do' for DD :thumbsup2

That reminds me, I must call to book tomorrow

We will be there next week for my DD's 3rd birthday. I couldn't decide between CM and 1900 PF, so I chose both! :thumbsup2 We are doing CM for breakfast & PF for dinner. I'm glad- this way I don't have to miss out on either one as my kids LOVED CM last time- they still talk about the napkin twirling. Honestly, they could serve ham sandwiches and my kids would be thrilled. They love the atmosphere and in my opinion it makes it worth the price.

Thanks for all the advice.

After reading this I think I will just stick with my original plans and have dinner at Chef Mickeys.
