Chef Mickeys' - Yes or No

We think that its the best non princess character meal at WDW

We have a ADR for Chef Mickey's for breakfast. My son will be celebrating his 10th birthday. I think this will be a great start to our vacation and hope it will be a memorable birthday for our son. Also, I hope to take our kids to the monorail and ask if they can ride up front (another birthday surprise for the son). I think the fun factor and the character interaction is what swayed us to go there.

YES TO CHEF MICKEYS!!! We had the best time here! Character interaction was great. We thought the food was good too. Our ADR was right at 5pm at the start of dinner so everything was fresh and full for us. I will DEFINITELY do this one again.

We prefered this to CRT and Crystal Palace, although we had good experiences with all three.

I have never been there for Breakfast before, just dinner. So with that said, if you are interested in the atmosphere and character interaction I would say definately yes. The place is really cute, with great character interaction. If food is a big deal to you, I would say skip it for Crystal Palace instead. Way better food. The food is just Ok, nothing special. Hope that helps!

We always eat at Chef Mickey's on the first day of our vacation. We get an early ADR so we can still get to the parks (relatively) early and it's the best way to start a Disney vacation!

I have to say that we haven't done any other character meals--we're hooked on Chef Mickey's!

We did Chef Mickeys on 10/4 for dinner and Crystal Palace on 10/5 for lunch. We noticed quite a few dishes that were the same at both places? Not everything, but dh had some kind of fish at both, and ds's mac and cheese seemed the same....
