We have been to 1900 Park Faire and Crystal Palace...how is Chef Mickeys'? Any reviews?

I would say yes to Chef Mickeys for breakfast. The food is average, but it was fun! I now know how to twirl a napkin! :cheer2:

I found the breakfast buffet at 1900 PF one of the best. Chef Mickey's was an average breakfast buffet (eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, danish, dry cereals,) - they had all the basics but nothing with 'wow' power. The characters (Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Goofy) were great and it was a fun start to our day. My DS enjoyed it very much, which to me, means it was a successful meal! I would recommend it, just don't expect over the top food selections. We also enjoy checking out other resorts, and with the monorail going through the Contemporary, this was a unique expereince. Enjoy! :flower:

Hi there!

I haven't been to either YET  but just thinking logically, I think that a breakfast with Mickey and Friends at the Contemporary would be more fun :Pinkbounc than breakfast with Mary Poppins. Hehe... :D That's just an opinion though. Chef Mickey's gets the best reviews from what I hear, we have booked it for dinner on our trip!

We enjoyed Chef Mickey's. The character interaction was good, and the food was good.

If you haven't been to CM yet, definitely try it out. Some posters love it, some don't, but you should see and decide for yourself.

We've been there a half-dozen times or so because the grandchildren like it, but we skip it when the g-kids aren't with us. Food is ok, nothing special, but certainly all right. Characters are there and there's a lot of napkin waving and other such noisy activities that the little ones seem to like.

Have a great trip!

If you have not been, I would definitely try it (especially if you have kids). It is fun and certainly an experience. I think the food is fine. After several trips to CM, though, I'm afraid it is the one place we will not return to this trip. It seems so hectic to me. Crystal Palace is one of our favorites and we will definitely return there for lunch, but I don't think we'll be back at 1900 Park Faire anytime soon either.

We've been to all 3. Chef Mickey's is definitely the wildest of the group. It's FUN!!!

I would say to try it. We try to add something new to each trip we do. If we don't like it, we chalk it up to experience. If we do, we'll do it again if time permits on our next trip!!

It is definitly a kid friendly enviorment. We ate there for breakfast. Didn't eat much though. We did more of visiting with the characters and photo ops. We had fun .

Another yes for Chef Mickey's. While the food is average, but the atmosphere is fun. It's a nice way to start the day. The kids (6 & 7) love it! The family picture when you check in is a bonus. Nice character meal. :sunny:

I have always enjoyed breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We like to do Chef Mickey's the first day before we go to the parks.

Chef Mickey's is by far our favorite character meal. We start our trips off with it -- warms the kids (and adults) up to the characters. The kids learn to love them...the adults learn to relax and realize that they are at the most magical place on earth and they should act as such.

Food is great...parmesan mashed potatoes are TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!

The picture is nice, but be aware that it's not free. I think it was around $28.00 back in 2001? We've been there twice and we got the pictures each time. It's neat to see the kids through the years. We're going back this year and we'll be going back to Chef Mickey's and getting the pictures again. It's our tradition. We only make it to Disney World every few years, and we'll go to Chef Mickey's every trip.

Chef Mickey's was a blast!! There for dinner last Feb.with dd and dh. Food was ok. Entertainment Great!! Get your napkins ready

I've booked CM for Christmas brunch. CP (my favorite) was no longer available, so I figured CM would be a great 2nd choice for the kids. I haven't been there for awhile, but everyone I know LOVES it.

Yup...it's our first night meal too. We love the place, and the potatoes are really good!!

so mashed potatoes for everyone huh? ;o) We're there for dinner one night with our parents and 3 children.

Potatoes ARE for everyone. We had prime rib, shrimp, chicken, great salads...oh yeah, and mashed potatoes. If you think I am exaggerating...there were a few people in our party who went back to the buffet and came back with full plates of POTATOES!!! They are great. I came across the recipe and made them for Christmas!!

Get ready to swing your napkin in the air...you are going to have a great time!
