Hi,

I just made a reservation for Chef Mickey's at 7:30 am on Sunday May 8th. The reservation states "does not include characters." Does anyone know why? Everything I read says that it is always a character breakfast. It is the day we are leaving and I could choose a different place for the money, but we are staying at Bay Lake and my kids like the place with the characters.

Date: Sunday, 5/8/2011
Time: 7:30am ( does not include Characters)
Party Size: 4 Guests

RU Kidding me??! I would HATE for them to change this restaurant. It is one of my children's FAVORITE Character meal experiences!! I am interested in the answer to this question too.

It's a glitch in they system (since Aug I believe). There ARE characters.

If they didn't have characters, no one would eat there.

Without the characters, is the food worthwhile at all?

I am signed up for Chef Mickey's instead of Crystal Palace.
For just the food, which is better?

The food at Chef Mickey's is good, but that's not why you go. You go to see the Fab 5. Chef Mickey's without food is like going to the Bunny Ranch and not getting any.

Cheers!

Max

Lyn, the reviews I've seen skew in favor of Crystal Palace food.

It sounds like just a glitch in the system. Thanks for the responses.

As far as Crystal Palace vs Chef Mickey's. I vote for Crystal Palace hands down. Its not that CM is awful, but its not that great either. Crystal Palace, I think anyway, has much better food. As a matter of fact we have celebrated my daughters birthday there every year for 8 years now(she's 8:). We usually do Chef Mick's too, because my kids like Mickey, Minnie and Donald, but the food is an after thought. If you like Pooh go with Crystal Palace.

Because the Disney website is once again in error (and not for the first time, either). Chef Mickey's has characters at all meals.

For just the food, I would go with Crystal Palace - no contest!

However if you are into the Fab 5 characters, you would want to go to CM.

This is so full of WIN!

In general, I don't think any of the buffets that have characters are worth it without the characters.

I agree! We found the food average at best but the characters keep us coming back. DD6 is too excited to eat anyway  We thought Chef Mickey's had the worst food of all the breakfast buffets. But still I made an ADR for January :lmao:

IMO no..the food was terrible and only the characters made the experience tolerable. Our group has no desire to eat there ever again...We loved Crystal Palace and Donalds Safari Breakfast/Tusker House though :)
