Hi! We're going at the end of the month and already have our ADRs. This trip will be no kids with us. We havent done a character meal in YEARS. We just want to basically start off the morning of our trip seeing our classic fave characters and have a nice breakfast :goodvibes

Is it worth it?
Will we feel embarrassed... obviously being outnumbered by children?

Just want any adult opinions on this... has anyone dined there sans kids?

I'd say go for it! :thumbsup2

I've seen adult-only tables when I've eaten there and they don't look silly or out of place. In fact, it always looked to me that the adult-only tables were having more fun with the characters than the kids!

Here's a YAY for me!! My mom and I (mid 50's and 26 respectively) are going here for breakfast on our first morning and I can't wait!! I LOVE Chef Mickey's. I love watching how excited the other kids get-- all the while knowing that they are going to be cranky later and i get to leave them behind with someone else :lmao: :rotfl2: ENJOY CHEF MICKEY'S!!!

Yay! Yay! Yay!

Do it -- Take your camera -- Have fun!

Even my too-cool-for-characters 20-yr-old son enjoyed joking around with Mickey and friends.

You will not be out of place at all.

GO FOR IT!!!! A friend and I did that last year. Didn't feel one gram of embarrassment at all. :cool1:

Another YAY here! Have a fantastic time!! :cool1:

Absolutely! And didn't you know that it is a "RULE" that you must eat with Mickey every trip? Okay, it's my rule, but it's a good one.:lmao:

Do it!!!!:thumbsup2 We ate at Chef Mickey's for dinner and breakfast two weeks ago and we were a family of 5 - myself, my DH, my DS20 and his DFi20(they got engaged in the Plaza Rose Garden by the castle one night after Wishes during our trip!) and our DD16! All of the "kids" had so much fun with the characters and my DH and I even had our picture taken a couple of times with them! We love Chef Mickey's so much and know you will all have a great time!

absolutely!! I tried to get a ressie for dinner on 12/2- sold out because of the MVMCP that nite- so I settled for Ohana's instead!!

LOL my wife and I (both about 40) are going for the first time this december. We are going Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, and Cindy's, along with the hoop dee doo revue..

Did I mention that once we check in at the hotel, as far as we're concerned we are officially 10 years old for the next 8 days :) :cheer2:

:thumbsup2

thanks for all the replies everyone!! I have heard great things about this place!! I am VERY excited... 15 days to go before I'll be eating with Mickey :goodvibes

Have a great time. We enjoyed it back in 9/05 with two adults. And don't be shy to take pic's with them too.

Absolutely do it!!! When my husband and I got married, we took everyone that came with us (only 8 people) to Chef Mickey's as part of the festivities. It was fantastic! I have a photo of my dad sitting there with Pluto's paws over his face. It is priceless! And they are NOT disney people, but had a good time. GO FOR IT! And besides...doesn't everyone turn eight years old the minute they pass under the Walt Disney World arch?!
