Please help me decide. My mom and I will be taking my three daughters (9,4 and 2) to a character breakfast while my dad and DH are golfing. We will not be going to the parks that day so it has to be at a resort.

We all love breakfast so I want the food to be good, but I also want my girls to get to interact with a few of the characters.

Could you all please give me your thoughts and opinions on what you liked and which you would pick?

TIA :goodvibes

Ohanas!
Ohanas!
Ohanas!

Can you tell which one is our favourite? :lmao:

Excellent character interaction, fantastic food, wonderful service! :thumbsup2

Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto are there.

At CM's, you'll see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy. All fun choices, no matter what you decide!

IMO, the food is better at Ohanas. It is brought out family style directly to your table. It is still all you can eat, but not food out on a buffet line.

Ohana! :stitch: My FAVORITE BREAKFAST OF ALL TIME! (but I do really like CM. second favorite breakfast:goodvibes )

Definitely O'hana's!!! :thumbsup2

You can see Mickey and friends so many other places; I don't believe you can see Lilo and Stitch anywhere else. (??)

My kids LOVED parading around the restaurant with the characters.
....and the food there is great too!

I would pick 'Ohana for food quality. Plus it is so much easier on Mom to have a family-style meal over buffet.

If you have never done CM for breakfast, it is a must do :cool1:

Next trip 'Ohanas

I would say food quality is equal for both , but I do agree it is so much easier on Mom to have a family-style meal over buffet.

I would choose Ohana! We love that breakfast! The character interaction is excellent, we loved receiving the leis at check-in and the food, in my opinion, was a step above the buffet (we really loved the orange-guava juice they serve!). Now, we do also love Chef Mickey's, but I would rather go there for a dinner or even a lunch.

Thanks for all the advice. I still can't decide. We went to Ohana's back in 2004 and loved the food, but the characters were different then (included Chip and Dale). My daughters would rather see the characters at Chef Mickey's, but I am having a hard time giving up a good thing (the food and convenience of Ohana's) to try something new.

Please keep the opinions coming. And if anyone has any picks of the food/atmosphere at Chef Mickey's - please post. Thanks.

'Ohana is our favorite character breakfast. The food is fantastic and our service was great. It is nice not having to leave the table to get your food while waiting for a character to come around. You can ask for more food is you want more. Chef Mickey's has great character interaction and OK food. My kids had more fun at 'Ohana with the parade with the characters. At CM's, all you do is stand and twirl your napkins.

Hands down Ohana is our favorite for breakfast. Food brought right to your table, food is really good, the juice that they serve is out of this world, and the character interaction is really good too.

Chef Mickey's is very good too. We just think the food at Ohana is better in our opinion. Plus we really like the fact that you do not have to stand in a buffet line.

We also love Ohanas and have eaten there for 3 trips and
will be 4 times this upcoming trip.
The characters are: Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.
We've eaten at both CM and Ohanas and find Ohanas
to have a nice atmosphere so you can relax and enjoy
your breakfast.
I also like that it is served Family style so you don't have
to leave your seat plus not everyone will have breathed on
or touched your food like a buffet (that's my little pet peave).
I love the juice at Ohanas, I must drink 4 glasses.
Also, I love the Hawaiian theme--the characters are
in Hawaiian clothes.

We really loved both, however, the coffee was super at Ohana:) Plus, the breads they brought out before the hot dish were to die for :) However, on the down side, we had ressies and we were very late in being seated at BOTH places, but longer at the Ohana...Let your mom choose....

I would choose Chef Mickeys. We enjoyed the food more. The character interaction was great at both places. We preferred the variety of food at CM. Ohana's food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

we have never eaten at CM, but we have gone back to ohana's on every trip! we love it!

We like both. Here is why:

CM:
+ great character interaction, more food choices, Characters parade around and they spin their napkins over their heads (my boys 4 & 6 loved that part...but it just the characters, not kids joining in)
- buffet style

Ohanas:
+ better food, great character interaction, character parade with kids joining in to march around the restaurant
- less food choice

This year...we're doing both! We skipped CM one year and the boys missed it.
