I went to both for dinner, but want to try a CB for DS5 near Mk early. What
foods and place did you like best. DS like all the Characters can we get pancakes and omelettes at both. If I get a 8-30 be at park for 9-30-10.

What is the best way to get to the park, Boat or Monorail.

Thanks,
Sept 27-Oct2

Both are very good. Although our family prefers OHana due to it being a table service and not buffet. They don't serve omlets or pancakes. They have a bread basket, fruit, juice, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatos and mickey waffles. The buffet has just about anything you'd want to eat, although we like the character interaction at Ohana better. You can get to the MK by either boat or monorail. The boat takes a bit longer due to the wait time.

We enjoy the buffet aspect of Chef Mickey's but much preferred the food at Ohana the last time we went. It was served family style, so everyone was able to stay at the table - no up and down all the time. The juice was incredible, and the interaction with the characters a bit better, IMO. Our kids are begging to go back to Ohana in Oct - Chef Mickey's just got a non-plussed "if we have to" reaction when talking about ADR's recently...

We ate at both Chef Mickey's and Ohana's for breakfast in February. Honestly, we preferred Ohana's for a couple of reasons. The food is really good and the restaurant cozy and open. Their breakfast juice is sooooo good, they called it Polynesian juice! Characters were so much fun here and not all rushed. At Chef Mickey's it was loud and a bit chaotic. We felt the characters were rushing from one table to the next. Plus, at Ohana's the food is brought to you so you don't have to worry about making trip to the buffet with little ones, at least in my case! :goodvibes

I have done both and recommend O'hana. I think the atmosphere is better and more relaxed at O'hana. Whenever you have a buffet you will have guests going up to the buffet and back and it gets loud and crowded.

I also love the view at O'hana. I did O'hana twice and Chef Mickey's once and when I am at WDW next I will be doing O'hana for a third time.

My kids liked Chef MIckey's better. It took longer and they got to browse and take their time with their b'fast. Ohana's is quieter that's for sure. Very pleasant place to "dine" and not just "eat." The food at both places I found to be quite good.
