Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare?

Hello, there! I'm new to this thread, but after weeks of looking at all the wonderful reviews, threads, and yummy food pics, have decided to join the fun for myself!

My family just got back from a wonderful 7-day vacation in Disney World (we stayed at the Beach Club, our first time on Disney property--we loved it there!) and are looking forward to our next trip!

However, I'm having some difficulties choosing from all the amazing restaurants that we haven't tried yet. I would like to have a nice character meal at either Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare, but I'm not sure which to choose, or what meal of the day to book it for!

I would love some advice and opinions, and if you are kind enough to share, some photos! Thank you for your help!

My son (age 9) enjoys 1900 Park Fare even though it seems like it would be more for girls. We enjoy the buffet there more than Chef Mickey's buffet. The character interaction is great at Chef Mickey's. Last year I made a shirt for Chef Mickey's and we got all the characters to sign it!

For breakfast there is Pooh, Tigger, Alice, Mary Poppins and the Mad Hatter...

For Dinenr there is Cinderella, Prince Charming the 2 evil step Sisters and the evil stepmother..

I have been there for both and loved both. I thought that both meals the guest/character interactions were just wonderful. The food for breakfast was a little better then dinner but there was alot of things like Prime Rib and such on the dinner menu that I personall don't eat much of.. The deserts were awsome though. For breakfast it is like most character breakfast.

As a comparison though I would probley go with Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare or dinner at Chef Mickey's.. Since many of the breakfast character meals have alot of the same it seems that there is more a varity of things that you are going to find a the dinner buffets. It seemed that Chef Mickey's had alot more children friendly food then some of the others that I have been to. JMO

We've done both meals and the other poster above answered the character question. We did like dinner better. This August (24 days!) We are doing both breakfast and dinner! Different days of course!

My boys both love 1900 Park Fare Breakfast - The Mad Hatter is HILARIOUS!

Chef Mickey's is great too and the FOOD - OH THE FOOD! I love their buffet!

I really like the Chef Mickey tshirt Idea. We are actually doing Breakfast and Dinner at 1900 Park Fare in December and Chef Mickey's for Dinner another night. I might have to steal that idea for Chef Mickey's!

And the Chef Mickey character meals have the original characters, like Mickey and Goofy, correct?

The food at Chef Mickey's is good? Would you happen to have any pictures of any of it? It sounds like both places have excellent choices!
