Chef Mickey's Opinions

This always amazes me, you either love Chef Mickey's or you hate it. There seems to be very little middle ground.

That being said, we went last January, and quite enjoyed it. We had an early PS (5PM) and everything was hot fresh and pretty tasty. We will be going back on Sunday the 18th and I will be sure to report back.

I think if you go in with realistic expectations you will have a much better experience.

a.) It's a buffet
b.) It's crawling with kids
c.) It will be loud and frantic
d.) the characters can only see so many tables in a set amount of time, your turn will come!

Go, enjoy, and wave those napkins.

We go to CM's for breakfast because my DD's 6 and 4 ask to go.

Debster812 did a great job of letting you know what to expect. The party atmosphere is great for preschoolers so your two year old will be in heaven.

The food is edible and it save us waiting in line at the parks for an autograph from the characters. I just tell the girls we'll see them later at CM's.:)

We also do the CP for lunch to see the Winnie the Pooh characters. The food is so much better. Not even a close contest. However, they don't have Mickey. Gotta have the mouse:teeth: .

At least in our case we were very realistic with our expectatoins.
However we did not expect to have to demand that the chracters visit us.
Neither did we expect the "hot" food to be so cold that if was most likely a health hazzard
or did we expect them to not repalce food that had obviously been played in
We also needed refills for our drinks and never received them.

We loved Donald's Breakfast o saurus, Crystal Palace, Hollywodd and Vine (when it was still a character meal) and 1900 PF. CM's was very far behind all of these when it came to food, service and character interaction.

I guess all I can add to that, is that I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, it seems that everyone's mileage truly does vary.

We ate dinner there 4 years ago & loved it. We just ate there again last month & were very disappointed. The food wasn't bad, but for $25.99 per adult you expect better. Our server was so so. I would try it if you have never been. It's just not a great value for your money.::MinnieMo
