We have a Chef Mickey's dinner reservation on our arrival day at 8:50 p.m. We arrive at the airport at 3:00 and are staying at CBR. Is this pushing it? Also, how would we get from CBR to the Contemporary?

We are in the same boat.. we are at the Pop but have an 8:30pm. ressie that first night. I am hoping the kids are excited and the adrenaline will keep them going ;) Keep stalking the res. system for an earlier ADR too. I am thinking maybe we can squeze in an hour nap after some pool time beforehand if necessary!

I dont know how young your travelers are, but for my DD, 8:50 would be too late for her for dinner esp. on a traveling day. As for how to get from CBR to Contemporary -- you can take the bus to MK and walk -- or take the bus to MK and jump on the monorail. It'll be faster to walk though. Have fun!! :)

We are a party of six, me, DH, DS23, DD21, DS3 and neice 12. The only one I'm concerned about is the toddler. I'm thinking maybe a long nap on the plane. I'm going to keep trying to get something earlier! Do people ever get in earlier if they show up early?

If all else fails, you can always take a cab. Not sure how many are allowed to ride in a cab at once though.

Assuming your flight is on time, I think you can probably make it. The general rule of thumb is to allow about 3 hours from when you de-plane to when you're walking into a theme park when using DME and Disney transportation. I would take the bus from to MK and then walk to the CR. If you are running late, you can get a taxi. They do have van-taxis, but I don't know those are common in the taxi stand at the Values (I've most seen regular car taxis).

Personally, I wouldn't look for anything much earlier than the time you already have. Maybe 8:00 pm at the earliest. If the plane is delayed or traffic is bad, you run the risk of missing your ADR and being charged the no show penalty.
