Hi!! We had so much fun at WDW last Oct. that we decided to go back the 1st week of December this year:D . Chef Mickey's is one of the restaurants we would like to try. Is it easy to get to with a wheelchair? Where is the elevator located? We're going with our dd 6 and ds 5. Are there any really good and easily accessible restaurants that we can go to?

Thanks for all your advice!!

Yes, it is accessible, although you may need assistance with the buffet. All restaurants at WDW are supposed to be accessible... so many are good, it is hard to choose. That depends on your taste and budget.

There is a bank of elevators in the middle of the Contemporary that serves the entire tower.

The first week in December is an excellent choice - we did that for the last 2 years in a row. No crowds. :)

we have been in just about all WDW resturants and have run ut into very few problems that were not fixed right away we we asked a CM about it. We are also going the first 2 weeks of dec. and can't wait.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce:
we have even had some CM's help cut the DW food so mine wouldn't get cold, nice tip and comment card for those 4 that have done that.

We have traveled WDW for the past 14 yrs with DD and her wheelchair (she's now 17).
We have not had any big problems in any restaurants. All of them, including Cinderella's have some tables that are accessible if there is more than one level to the restaurant. And all of the restaurants have elevators if more than one floor.
Some of the counter service restaurants have small round tables with a center post that make it hard to pull up close to the table. (the footrests hit the center post before you are close enough to the table). The restaurant at America in Epcot WS is like that. We usually swing one or both of her footrests out a little and are able to use the table. All the tables there are the same size. You run into the same problem at the Land at Epcot and Cosmic Rays in Tomorrowland. Those 2 have more than one size of table though so if you can get a bigger table, it's not a problem.
Can't think of any more offhand, but just look over the round tables before you pick one out.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I really appreciate it!! :D
