We are considering Chef Mickey's for April because my DS wants to eat with Mickey Mouse - I take it there's nowhere else we can dine with the big mouse himself
Don't worry about the posting here too much to alter your plan.
If this is the first time for you and your son, it is definitely worth to try.
none of us on this board is PROFESSIONAL food critique. I had a chance to talk with NY times food critique for diferent occasion. He told me that one of the most difficult part of his job is to judge the food quality without any preconception.
however, he told me that it is so hard once he get very good impression to the restautant very beginning because he had to wipe out the positive image from his head to taste food at same restaurant one more time to make sure the restaurant can serve great quality or not. professional has hard time to do it, so I am assuming it is hard to anyone here(if some one here is professional food critique, sorry). we are just posting our PERSONAL impression, which would never go beyond our pearsonal realm. I've seen a lot of positive comment about CM and unfortunately a lot of people are complaing about Cm at same time. I belive both side are right, but it never apply to your personal judgement toward CM unless you try at least once.
Personally, I believe CM is great restaurant to visit. Food quality, I am not sure. I am living in NYC area so if I want to taste great food, I won't go any restaurant at WDW. I would go to manhattan. However, restaurant at WDW has their own themes, nobody else can provide. CM is one of the most theme oriented restaurant, especially for young kids. For me, to get such experience and see my kids hugging Mickey and Minnie without waiting at line, $35/person is VERY cheap.(well, comparing to restaurant in NYC, it's cheap
