Chef Mickey's for Baby's First Birthday?

I want to celebrate Chase's first birthday on our next trip to WDW. I'd love to have the celebration at Chef Mickey's, but I much prefer breakfast there over dinner. Will they celebrate with a cake/cupcake at breakfast?? Thanks!

Are there any other character meals that offer something special for children's birthdays? Can you order a cake special from the restaurant you choose in addition to the cost of the meal?? Any tips or advice? Thank you!

Yep! We celebrated my niece's 11th bday at CM's for breakfast a couple years ago and they got a cupcake with a candle for her. The waitress presented it to her during one of the rounds of singing, and Minnie came over to give her some special attention.

All I can say is if you ask for the cupcake with song request it early. Right when you check in at the podium, again when you get seated, and again to your server. They have a lot of people there, and only sing the song every so often. (I can't remember the time interval, I think 30 min.) But its great All the characters and guests sing right to your child, waving their napkins in the air.

We celebrated my daughters 4th birthday there, and she still talks about it. Make sure you buy the picture too, the inside cover has the words of the song on it, otherwise you'll NEVER remember it. I'm not sure about ordering an additional cake.

One word of caution.
Chef Mickey's is a very loud restuarant and when went with our 13 month old son he did not like the noise at all.
Hopefully your son wont be so frightened!!

We had breakfast and Hollywood & Vine and did see several birthdays being celebrated with cupcakes and a song. Although I did not enjoy the food, the atmosphere was quite nice. I am sure if H&V does it, you can get it anywhere.
