Chef Mickey's Character Dining Review

Has another done dinner there recently? I'm interested about that review too. Thinking about changing our CM dinner reservation to 1900 Park Fare.

I'd read the thread on where NOT to eat on this page. 1900 dinner has been labeled as inedible.

I stopped by here to read about CM b/c we've never been.

BUT We HAVE done dinner at 1900 park fare.

First, the character interaction was SUPERB! I adored it all.

The food was "meh" at best, and some downright nasty. We all found something to make a meal out of, but it was by far the worst meal we had a Disney.

We did Chef Mickey dinner on June 3. Food was fine. Liked the Mac and cheese with lobster and the carving station meats. I did find a plate that had something on it, but I grabbed the next one and it was fine. Interaction was great and we will absolutely 100% go back on our next trip.

I have a dinner ADR for it b/c I canceled my Wave due to some menu changes. Not sure I want to keep the dinner reservation. People seem to like breakfast but I am finding a lot of negative comments about dinner.

Xmas is a tough time for ADR's. We will be there this xmas too and have decided to so all our meals via ADR. No fast service unless we really want or need a snack. It will juts make our trip stress free knowing that we have reservations and will not have to battle crowds during meal time.

I would recommend keeping it for now. if you find something else you like, book that before cancelling the CM ADR.

hahaha.. Funny! We never tried dinner so we cannot compare. If you do end up doing dinner, please lets us know how it goes...

Thanks for visiting the site. We are glad that you may be able to take advantage of the parking tip and perhaps save a few bucks.

I'd advise against planning to park at Contemporary for breakfast and then going to MK all day. Some here will flame you mercilessly for even suggesting such a thing but, more importantly, Disney's policy is that you can park there while you're eating but they could tow your car if it's left there all day to avoid the parking fee. A better option is to use the valet parking. Although it still costs, you'll have the convenience of parking at the Contemporary for your breakfast and then having just a short walk to MK.
