Is Chef Mickey worth going to if your kids are 5 & 8 and not into Pooh, etc.? We are doing 1900 Park Fare, so we'll have a good character dinner on the trip.
Thanks.

My 5 boys loved it and we have been going ever since my boys were little. And we still go.:cool1:

We were at Chef Mickeys on January 11th and it was great. Lots of napkin-waving fun, even for my teenager.

The Fab 5 is at Chef Mickeys (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto & Goofy), where 1900 Park Fare is Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia. So there's an entirely different selection of characters between the two.

They are two totally different atmospheres as well. And though there are some similarities of food on the buffets, each offers some dishes that are unique from one another.

We did both on our January trip and we glad we did.

Have fun! :flower3:

1900 PF has Pooh, Tigger, Alice and Mad Hatter for breakfast.

We love CMs it's a must for my kids. Last trip we had to dine there TWICE!

We leave here in a couple of days, all the kids can talk about as far as food is Chef Mickey's, they can't wait! Partly for the fact that it is a buffet and the boys can eat!! They really loved it when we were there a few years ago and kids were 4, 9, 11 I think.

DS is 5 and loved it the first couple times, but then got over the whole character thing (we were there 9 days so I don't blame him). DD3, however loved all the character meals!!!
We prefered breakfast over dinner, but the dessert bar for dinner was so yummy.

we go to CM's for the character experience but definitely not for the food. even dh - who will eat and enjoy most anything after his mother's cooking - doesn't care for the food there. it's mediocre at best. but if you want to see mickey and gang, it's worth it.

CM and Ohana are a must for us. Plus Garden Grill since they took Chip and Dale out of CM. We go during spring break which is really crowded so those three meals give us a "character fix"

Chef Mickey's is a great location because of it's atmosphere and because it's got the classic Disney characters, so I would recommend it.
