If you were going to pick one, which would you pick and why? I'm looking for dinner.. The characters aren't so important to me because I have a hunch my dd will be afraid of them..
I'm a vegitarian but my dh will eat anything..

Crystal Palace hands down! They have such a wide spread of what you can eat it would satisfy any craving!

We've done both for dinner on 2 different trips, the most recent in July 06. We're booked for both again for dinner this July.

I think the food is slightly better at Crystal Palace, or at least it was in July when we went. It's more exotic, and certainly more vegetarian options. Atmosphere is comparable, and food is, of course, Disney buffet fare at both.

Well, I just got back and I would suggest Crystal Palace! I am a vegetarian, too and there were PLENTY of choices!!
There were two huge assortments of fruit (one with honey lime dressing and then watermelon by itself). They had a few (I would say) Mediterranean dishes totally vegetarian! Breads, salads, rice, veggies and the desserts.............coconut flan and bread pudding to die for!!!!!!!!!! (cookies, ice cream, strawberries, apples, mini chocolate bites of cheesecake.......)
The staff was very friendly and the characters are all around at all times! It wasn't like other places where you had to wait to see them. It seemed like whenever you turned your head there was POOH or Eeyore or piglet!!!
Loved it!!:wizard:

I have not been to CM, but we did do CP last month and it was wonderful! We will go back here. We loved it.

I'm going to go against the tide and vote for Chef Mickeys. We're huge prime rib fans and we love those special mashed potatoes. We ate at CP during our last visit and frankly we weren't that impressed. I was a little bummed. I'd heard such good things about it. Yes, there was a huge selection of food, but none of it really did for it me. Different strokes, different folks.

Crystal Palace! It is our Magic Kingdom dinner tradition, and we have had all great experiences there!

We love CP, they food there is awesome! We tried CM for the first time last Oct and the food was horrible, the only thing we liked was the prime rib and the mashed potatoes.

Both places are crazy noisy......

Oh dear - I asked a very similar question and I was hoping a lot more people would say Chef Mickey's over Crystal Palace!! We did dinner at Crystal Palace last year and weren't very impressed. This year we're going to try Chef Mickey's for the first time and I was hoping people would say it's better than CP - not the other way around!!

I hope more people throw in their two cents on this one!!

Anyone? :confused3
