If you do Chef Mickey for brunch do they keep out the eggs, waffles and breakfast food for the entire time or they completely switch over to lunch items at some point? Thinking of a reservation around 1pm and wanted to ensure breakfast food would be available. How is the brunch generally?

I think they switch food around 2:30. Breakfast & lunch items should be available at 1:00.

To be honest, CM isn’t one of my favorite places to eat. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner...it’s all average to below average to us. As soon as our kids outgrew it, we stopped going.

We prefer Garden Grill in EP (prepark opening to hit Soarin before the crowds) for our character meal.

I like the brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe. They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch food. Prices aren’t bad either. The Wave has a good bunch too.

Up until a couple years ago, I had never been to Chef Mickey's as all I'd heard was how awful it was. In the past couple years I have been there for breakfast and dinner and both were perfectly fine. In fact, I liked breakfast better than Ohana or 1900 Park Fare. Dinner was fine too. Tusker House is my favorite dinner character buffet, but Chef Mickey's was fine. You are going for the characters anyway, not because you believe it will be the best meal you ever had.

We went to brunch at CM last year for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was mostly breakfast with a few dinner type things. They close down then dinner is just dinner. We’ve never done breakfast but have done dinner 3 times before. Dinner is decent but brunch was really good. We go more for the fun atmosphere than the food though.

Thanks for the review. Was bunch as busy as other times?

No, not in our experience. We usually do dinner around 6 and it’s always crowded. We ate around 11 and there were a lot of open sections. But we still had to wait until our reservation time to be sat. They must run less staff at brunch.
