Do you think these are both different enough to do both? We have beent o Chef Mickey before but not Garden Grille. We will be on the dining plan and needed an extra restaurant, so we picked Garden Grille. We already have princess dining, and Crystal Palace. Thanks!

The best part of all these meals is that there's not a ton of crossover. The only characters you'll see twice are Mickey and Pluto...and who can have enough of them?? :goodvibes I definitely prefer Garden Grill to Chef Mickey's, but to each his own. Can I recommend Tusker House for breakfast? It has better food, I think, and you get most of the same characters. You just lose Minnie and pick up Daisy. Either way, if you like character meals, I think you may as well go whole hog on them, so to speak. Where else can you eat with a life sized mouse??:cool1:

I have not been to Chef Mickey's (going on our November trip though) but Garden Grill is fantastic! This was the best character interaction we had on our last trip. We saw Chip, Mickey and Pluto each 3 times and Dale twice. And they 'played' when they came to your table not just take a picture, give their autograph and go on. The food is good too! I say keep both!

We do both every trip. They are both very different in atmosphere and we think the food is great at both. THe characters take more time with you at Garden Grill; we've even had Chip sit down at the table and pretend to eat with us:thumbsup2

I think they're different enough and I'd keep 'em! We love GG, it's much more relaxed than CM - you're not getting up and you'll have much more character time, at least we always have. The atmosphere at GG is really neat - just the fact that it revolves and you see the LWTL ride as well as the bustling pavilion, and you'll be served some food that's grown right there. That said, and as you know, CM is just so much fun, love waving those napkins, and love Mickey dressed in his Chef attire. Can't get enough of the desserts there either! Have a great time dining!!

Garden Grill is a good choice! We have not been to Chef Mickey's since 2001, but we eat at GG almost every trip. We are doing both restaurants this October. I remember CM's being very loud (but fun!), while Garden Grill is much more relaxing. We always get a lot of time with the characters there. Enjoy!! :goodvibes
