On our Epcot day we have ADRs at Chef le France. It is my DD9 and myself. We picked Chef le France because neither of us have really tried french cuisine. We have tried or eat on a regular basis most of the other types of food in Epcot. My concern is, I've been hearing lately that the quailty of food at Chef's isn't that high. :confused3 I know a lot of people really like Teppan Edo. However, we have a japanese steakhouse in our area and have been there many times. I don't want to try Chef's if the food is only so-so. :confused3 My DD9 has an adult palate and is actually the one who picked Chef's, so children's choices are not a factor.
Where would you go in our situation? :confused3
Opinions please!!!!

Honestly, I am not a fan of Le Chef's personally. The food to me is just, blah. With the exception of the Onion Soup, I just found the food average at best.

Teppan Edo is a fun place if you have never been to a Hibachi restaurant. As you mentioned, you have one near your home, so it won't really be a special experience. I found it to be average as well. We much prefer our Japanese Steakhouse at home to Teppan Edo.

Now with all that being said, this is going to be a tough decision and I would struggle with it as well.

Have you thought about Le Cellier or perhaps taking a short boat ride over to Kouzzina (Boardwalk) to try it out for a different experience. Much better overall selection at both of these place to consider.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

We find the food excellent at Le Chefs. However, we had horrible service there last Sept. First time at WDW we did not leave any tip at all.

Teppan Edo gets high ratings but I just don't understand why. It pales in comparison to ANY similar restaurant we've been to elsewhere, including Kobes which is near Downtown Disney. The food portions are smaller, decor is rather blah, and food not as good as at other Japanese steakhouses. People seem to like Teppan Edo mainly for the show and table side cooking experience.

That said we're skipping both our next trip but may give Chefs another chance at another time as we did have a great time there a few years ago.
