Want to try a new Epcot restaurant this trip and as I've always had a soft spot for France (in WDW) Thought we might try this one. Is this the less expensive restaurant of the two in France - isn't there a Bistro as well?

Torn between this one and Marrakesh, although my DD is fussy eater, so I wonder if this would be a good idea.

There is a Bistro and it is more expensive.

We ate at Chefs de France for lunch last year. I got the French Menu for $14.95. It was french onion soup, mixed green salad, ham and cheese grilled sandwich and creme brulee for dessert. It was really good and a great deal for a lovely restaurant.

One of our favorites for lunch. BTW, for less adventurous diners, they have a mac & cheese that looks wonderful, but I didn't try it. It uses some of the "better" cheeses.

The tomato/basil/goat cheese flatbread appetizer is great, the French Onion soup is wonderful. I had the rotisserie chicken, it was very good. The escargot is also good, if you like snails.

We just ate there a few nights ago. I had the french onion soup. It was delicious!!! The creme brulee was also wonderful!!

This is one of our "must eat at" places for dinner. The food has always been very good, especially the duck! Try the escargot, it's not bad.

We just ate there this year and I had the French Special as well - grilled cheese, Onion soup, etc. It was the best meal I had all week overall since it was just a lunch - but what a cream of the crop lunch it was. The bread, cheese and ham were over the top. So was the little fresh roll with butter they bring you at the beginning.

I cannot wait to return. But next time we are going further into France and pick something up at the bakery. We popped in there while waiting for our table at Chef de France. They had very fresh looking sandwiches on this amazing french bread. They also just had plates of fresh sliced cheeses with crispy bread for take out. They have little tables outside to sit down at. You think you are in Paris.

We also love CDF and eat there every trip. The only bad food I've ever had there (and it wasn't horrible just tasted frozen) was tuna for dinner. Our other 5-6 meals there have been delightful. Great salads, soups and desserts and some wonderful wines.

They have a kid's menu with chicken, fish and hamburger (is this right - does anyone remember?). I also believe you can get fries or pasta as the side. The kid's meal also includes an ice cream dessert. Our DDs (2 and 5) have enjoyed the kid's meals and also love the bread.

Try it - I bet you'll like it.

BTW, there IS also a little shop behind CDF that sells delicious salads, sandwiches and pastries. We ate there for lunch on our Epcot day (we are a little stuck on French food - can you tell???) and really enjoyed it.

Two other points that might interest your DD - Beauty and the Beast and Princess Aurora can often be found in the perfume shop accross CDF. Also, there is the most fabulous mime show each evening in front of CDF. The gentleman that does it incorporates children into his show and he is hilarious. The kids LOVE it. DD5 has been chosen twice (we watch the show at least twice each night we go to Epcot) - it is her VERY favorite thing at Epcot, even topping the princesses.

I am really looking forward to eating at the Bistro de Paris for my birthday in February. Anything to make me feel like I'm back in Paris! It's the only city I've ever been to that made me cry when I had to leave.
