Anyone else addicted to these like I am? I found myself getting up early and dealing with buses / boats from CSR/SSR just to go get one before I hit the parks on a few days...

:cloud9:

I loved getting one of those, and a small think of milk and heading out and sitting on a bench over looking the beach towards the boardwalk, and just relaxing and 'starting the day off right'

Not us, we thought they were just terrible....we stayed at the YC and walked over to grab a quick breakfast before heading to the pool and they had the consistancy of a sponge and tasted terrible!

I thought they were fine and we ate them every day last time we stayed at the Beach Club. As they are making it, it looks kind of funky but when it comes together it works! Although they are not nearly as good as the egg and cheese croissants you can get at the food court by Soarin and The Land. Now those are really good!

I'll admit, those dont even look good. The ones I had were MUCH thinner then that, and as tasty as could be. I could see how those werent very good. I'll have to check out the land next time.. How long do they serve them in epcot, it's not like epcot, or really any WDW park is known for being good for finding breakfast..

We love a breakfast sandwich too and the ones at Sunshine Seasons and Boardwalk Bakery are very good, egg, slice of cheese and bacon on a croissant. The ones at Main Street are insane though, the cheese is melted inside the egg with ham on top so when you bite into it the cheese oozes out all in your mouth and you think you died and went to heaven

You mentioned SSR - they have something similar there -- I had one at Artists Palette, but it had bacon, cheese & egg -- I thought it was very good! Just hope you didn't go all the way to BC when you could have gotten the same thing at SSR if that's where you were!

Well, I did have other reasons for being at BC area. I was getting the gingerbread trading pins. One at BC one at BW, and one other day was before we headed to SSR, so I hadnt been to artists palette yet :) and actually didnt eat there when we did move to SSR. Now I'll have to check it out!!! yummy..

Yes, DH got the breakfast sandwiches a few times at the MarketPlace. They were good and quick.

They no longer are that quiche style. We always enjoyed them when they were but would pick up breakfast around 7:30 or so. Tasty and soft. Yours do look hard...could it have been past the rush and they had been sitting around a while? Not saying that's acceptable but I can imagine it happening to quiches that sit too long.

I agree that the SSR version is great. I like the mixture of cheeses...can't remember anymore what they were but it was an excellent blend.

That's the style at BC Marketplace now...or at least when we were there in October. But unlike SSR, it was just one type of cheese it seemed to me.

When we went they were cut in thick slabs and the cheese was dry on top...they were sitting under a heat lamp

If they are now like the ones at Main Street I am so happy!

Yea, the ones I had looked NOTHING like that. They were just ooooozing cheese. So I think they must be like that. I'm gonna check out AP at SSR though also

edit: and honestly, as I said, the other part that just made it even better was the morning sunshine and the peace and quiet earlier in the AM..

BCV - apparently you're the breakfast croissant connoisseur!

:rotfl: Not at all but those ones at SSR are addictive!

I actually preferred the old style at the Marketplace but if drying out was a problem, I can understand the change. Unfortunately, I think they're on the greasy side now. At SSR, they have the benefit of a kitchen right there....and that mix of cheeses.

Yes, they were the quiche style from when the Marketplace first opened until sometime between 5/08 and 10/08.

But did you order later in the am? We had those croissants so many times over the years and never experienced dry cheese. They were always very fresh tasting. I'm just wondering if that happened as they sat later in the am when breakfast business slowed. Or it could have been a new cook I suppose.:confused3

The style is now like Main St. as in the cheese is folded inside the egg. Whether you'll enjoy it as much I don't know. Did those have a mixture of cheeses like SSR?

I love the bacon, egg, and cheese croissants from ASMo.. yummy!
