Cheerleaders at Disney?

Hi,

During early Feb there's a national cheerleaders competition. Anyone know which parks they're in and when?

They'll probably be all over the place.

No offense to any cheerleaders or parents on this thread but the last time I was there during a competition, the girls were HORRIBLE and rude and tried to push there way through many different lines. Not only that, they all thought we paid admission to see them cartwheel throughout the parks.

Again, if there are any cheerleaders or parents of cheerleaders reading this, please don't get upset at me. Just my experience and I'll never go during a competition again!

It seems every time we go to WDW, there's some kind of competition. And you're right, they can get kind of rude. What can you expect out of pre-teen and teenage girls? 5 years ago was the worst when the girls in the room next to us at Coronado decided to pierce someone's ears at 2 am. We had it all, shrieking, laughing, crying and yelling. It got soooo bad, that we had to go over and ask them to be quiet, we had to be up at 4 for a flight to St. Lucia!

So, to answer OP question, they'll be everywhere and there's no real way to avoid them.

Also not trying to get any cheer/dance parents upset!

I know I saw a post a few days ago from someone that was a cheerleader and her sig mentioned a competition and the countdown timer was similar to mine so I PANICKED and checked by timer again and hers was for the week after mine--around the 12th of Feb. I am hoping there isn't another one the week before!!!

Love cheerleaders--hate crowds.

Just remember to take a long your wheeled cooler, bbq grill, wheeled backpack, camping tent and 12-pack.

Just a bunch of craziness and heated bickering..... The whole "can't stand loud children/cheerleader" arguement and then the stroller/wheelchair crap...and it only got worse from there.

The actual competitions are usually held at Wide World of Sports or over at Universal. Hope that helps.

We were at the parks March 11-15 2004 and the cheerleading competitions were going on then as well. I remember Indiana Jones being closed due to award presentations or competitions or the like and the parks being very crowded.

Does anyone know the exact dates by chance? I thought we were clear for Feb 5 - 12th!!!

Last Feb.05 we went the first week of feb. and they were all there. They usually stay at the value resorts and one moderate but can't remember which one. They were at POR also and they sang on the bus to my kids on the way to Epcot . They were great and respectful on our bus. Getting out of MK one night was difficult because they were everywhere but they all seemed to behave themselves when we saw them.

Hi, guys! I am cheer mom. The UCA Championships at WDW are as follows:
College Cheer and Dance 1/13 to 1/16
High School Dance 2/3 to 2/6
High School Cheer 2/10 to 2/13
All Star Cheer 3/10 to 3/13

The hotels on the travel package are the All Stars and the CBR. We will be there 3/3 to 3/13 and are splitting our stay between the Poly and BWV. Not every one stays on the UCA travel package. I can't speak for other cheer parents but, my dd's are always on their best behavior at WDW. They are also other cheer and dance competitions at WDW and Universal. I don't have those dates, sorry. The competitions take place at the World of Sports and at MGM in the Indiana Jones building on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully during the week the presence of cheerleaders won't be too annoying. I hope this info is helpful!
