Cheering crowds

Can anyone tell me when the most large cheering events are for spring? Just want to be aware of what to expect if we have to go during those times. Any strategies? Is there a resort they seem to stay at? Also does it affect crowds at the parks much? We've been in May before without considering the cheering schedule and never noticed anything. We weren't always at a value resort though.
Thanks! I think it's so cool that they get to perform at Disney world but want to be able to enjoy pool time and all of that as well.

April 23-May 14. Hotels are All Stars, Coronado, and AKL are the contracted hotels. I don't know that it impacts the parks much especially on weekends as the competitions are scheduled Fri/Sat/Sun.

Look up the page for the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex and check their event calendar. That will show you when there are cheer, dance, or sports events on property.

The All Star resorts are usually the most impacted, but the cheer crowds aren't necessarily confined to those. The days immediately before or after the competition itself will see increased park crowds. The cheerleaders' tendency to move in large packs (herds? flocks? what's the collective noun here?) and to be oblivious to other park guests can act as a kind of force multiplier, giving them a greater impact on other guests' experiences than their sheer numbers might otherwise suggest.
