Cheerfully child-free. Anyone else?

I am with you...Why won't you "Breeders" leave us alone... (Sorry, it's my DH's term...LOL)

We just want a place to call our own and people with kids are coming here to nag at us...Could you all please leave us alone...You are not going to change our minds then you must be doing it to start the There seems to be no other reason...

Please leave us alone...we were getting along just fine without you...

I think I might go waltz on over to the family thread and tell them how much their kids annoy me.........*Oh, wait- that would be, wrong of me*.........*I can feel it in my bones, that it would be just not right to go right to the source and tell people WITH kids their children are annoying, THAT would cause controversy and upheaval*......*hmmmm, right from wrong, yes, I do understand the concept I DO GET IT- I DO!!*

*I can stay here* .......*with the CF people and we can discuss this b/c we ALL feel the same way*

Go for it....but I doubt you will get very far. WMAlex made it perfectly clear that anyone on the DIS can post on ANY thread (there had been some complaining on the conservative and liberal threads about the other side posting).


If you truly don't want to deal with interlopers on "your" thread, I suggest you start your own board.....there, no one will care if you talk about your fear of a toddler touching you in the OB/GYN office and they will embrace your fears.

We actually worry more about some of the rather snarky comments that have been said to us on this and other threads. I wonder if the goal is to get our threads shut down. If that is the goal then please feel free to just tell us that. No need to start controversy, just tell us how you REALLY feel about people that are childfree.............

Hi all, first time poster on this terrific thread! DH and I are happily child-free and I thought we were the only ones, seriously. The amount of pressure we have endured over the years to procreate has been unbearable. I can't tell you how cathartic it is to read post after post of the same things we have experienced. Thanks again.

That's great that you have decided to be child-free. This means that by not having children the world will eventually be ridden of people who think like you. Hopefully? Hehe. Actually, I think there will always be people who do not want children.
I guess you don't regret your parents having born and raised you, so you could go to disney when the kids are in school and you don't have to deal with them. Correct

This is one of the sadest threads I've ever come across on the internet and I can't believe its here on a disney website. Color me naive. Disney is not exclusively for children.
Have fun dying all alone in a nursing home...its a blast. I've seen the future for the child-free. Its dark and lonely in the end. As a nurse, I have seen many people who have children who don't give them the time of day, send them to a nursing and never see them. Having children doesn't guarantee that you will all be sitting in the livingroom, holding hands, singing Kumbaya when you are old.
Have a great life and enjoy disney while you can. Can't buy me love...best song ever. But it can buy me care...something you won't be able to afford because of all the money spent on your kids, so you best hope that yours want to spend all that money & quality time with you and Shady Acres when you're old.

Thanks, but you would be surprised just how rude and hateful people can be about our decision. Just to be fair too, some people are childfree because of circumstances beyond their control. They get just as much grief on not having children on top of their grief at not being able to have children.
