Is your cat named after the character as well?

Yes. DH loathes cats, but he loves me very much. Chewie was a 1.6 pound malnourished little thing that he found in the parking lot at work. He brought her home to me. :lovestruc

She's the first long haired cat I've ever had and since DH is a Star Wars fan and he made the supreme sacrifice of not only living with a cat but actually bringing one home, I decided to give her a Star Wars name. She was almost a Yoda, but I decided Chewie with an "ie" was a little more feminine.

We just shaved the little wookie a few minutes ago. Now she looks more like a womp rat. :lmao:

Bebe has been shaved each year for 4 years now...I can almost hear the snickers from the other cats when we bring him home.

When do you do it? I was hoping to wait until March or April, but with a few warm February days here in Alabama Chewie was having hairball problems already. Not to mention her fur coming out everywhere. Not to worry now!

And I swear during the process she was using words that if they could be translated from cat into English would make a sailor blush. Little brat.

March...He gets a hair cut for MY birthday each year...but then again, It's CANADA cold here right now so he needs his fur.:rotfl:

Hixski:Love the Pictures of your furbaby Duncan

HAPPILY AND CHEERFULLY CHILDFREE

Duncan looks alot like our Drag. Drag lived to be 13 years old and past away 10/12/06. Drag had a lump on his left paw one day then within a few weeks he was diagnosed with bone cancer. Drag was our only furbaby and was our whole life. Here is a few pictures of Drag.

We all have the most beautiful kids! I love seeing the pictures of all the furbabies. Thank you to everyone that has posted them
I can honestly say that my "son" (Rio the cat) looks like his "Dad" because my husband is gray and kinda furry :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have a Star Wars kitty too! He's our oldest - Wookie - and his part Maine Coon but mostly mutt. He's turning 15 this spring and still acts like a kitten.

We also have a beautiful mostly white calico, Cokie (14), a skinny black mutt cat named Rufus (14), a hugely fat black mutt cat named Audrey (5) and an equally fat tortie named Bizzy Bee (5). Topping it all off is our 12-year-old PUGlet named Tia.

Here are their photos from their Catbook and Dogbook pages:

I want to quote everyone and tell them how cute their fur-babies are! Aww...

:lovestruc

Well I'm not married (yet??), but I've always known 100% that I don't want kids. Interacting with kids actually makes me uncomfortable, and is just something I could never get used to. What really bugs me is how certain people with kids try to make me feel like I'm "wrong" for feeling this way ("But how could you not ADORE my little angel? He's different than all those other kids."). Sorry, but don't take it personally. I'm just not a kid person! Anyway, I'm a huge animal lover and I feel more maternal toward my pets than I do with children. My favorite saying is:

"If I ever get the urge to hear the pitter patter of little feet, I'll put shoes on my cat."

And since we're sharing pictures of our "babies", here's my boy, Jazz. He'll be two years old in April.

This is my beloved Kitty. I lost her to oral cancer in January. She was twelve years old. :sad1:

As I'm sitting here typing this, Jazz is sleeping with his head on my lap. What more could I ask for?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Well said!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Isn't it amazing how people try to make you feel guilty for NOT having kids? I don't deal with kids all that well myself. I don't hate them or treat them mean, I just kinda avoid them. My mother had the hardest time accepting the fact that I didn't want kids until I said "Mom, do you really want another brat like me in the world?" to which she said
"go get another cat please" :lmao:
Love your pictures, thank you for posting them!
