She hasn't decided what she wants to do other than me make her lava cakes. I've got a couple gifts for her and I think we'll at least go out to lunch. She'll call the shots and I'll follow along.

Post #11790. That was great! Unfortunately (for me), "Falcon Fund" is lootable in all manner of circumstances. Like overdue library books (not mine), school cafeteria overcharges (also not mine), and busted mirror glass.

I just got done working about 15 minutes ago. Working late on Friday night... tsk, tsk tsk. But don't cry for me Argentina - there's a reason why... We had Family Fun Night at our son's school tonight - a fundraiser for next year's PTO (KAMommy will be El Prezidente). I traded cash for tickets. KAMommy ran the Cake Walk. It was fun, but we barely broke even once we figured all of the expenses against what we raked in. In my opinion, it was not well-publicized so it was not very well attended - we had maybe 100 people all night long. It started at 5:00, we got home around 9:00. Without all that I would have finished my work way earlier.

Just so's y'all know, my 7 years of bad luck (for breaking a mirror) officially started yesterday at about 10:50am. So on or around 11:00am of May 10, 2014 - I should be back to my normal, happy-go-lucky self.

Poor GD. . . I think that you can cancel the bad luck by breaking 6 more mirrors. I think I've heard that so get to it. . . Or that could bring you 42 more years of bad luck. Might want to google that one.

It's kind of like that 3 times a bridesmaid thing. If you are a bridesmaid 7 times, it breaks the curse. Me, I've only been a bridesmaid twice so I have no excuse.

I'm off to Commencement! YEA! It's so exciting to see "my kids" graduate. Some of my last years softball players are back to visit and see their teammates and friends graduate, so it's really nice to see them again.

Hey all! Remember 3 weeks ago when my DS12 broke his wrist? Well, I get a call from the school today, and guess what. HE BROKE HIS ANKLE! I'm going to put this child in a padded room 'til he moves out. NO MORE BASKETBALL! He's been banned from playing until he's 30. It's his left wrist and right ankle. He's having trouble walking with the crutches, but the only alternative was a wheelchair. Now tell me how to get a wheelchair into a split level house with steps on the front porch, steps on the back porch, and steps in the garage. I told him he's going to have to crawl everywhere in the house if he can't use his crutches. All I could do was start laughing. Glad I work at the hospital, cuz they might have thought of me as an unfit parent. Two broken bones in 3 weeks? Boys will be boys.
