Hello old chicks, and old men!
This is sort of a drive by post, since I haven't been around in forever.
The biggest reason for this is that, after 2.5 years of taking flying lessons, ground school, and a bunch of solo flights, I decided to stop being a wuss and get my FAA oral exam and checkride out of the way and become a real private pilot. This meant cracking down on my studying, giving up message boards for the duration, and getting it done.
Well, I took my oral exam and checkride today, and ......
I PASSED! WOOOOO HOOOOOOO! I'm a real-life, honest-to-goodness private pilot now. What a load off my shoulders! I should have done this in about 6 months, but let the process drag on for 2 extra years. Now I can fly anywhere I want, so long as it's in VFR conditions. YES !!!!!!!
I hope everyone is doing well, BTW.
