Yeah! DMM is back! Tell us everything! I just watched the new show on WDW on the Travel Channel and I think I have convinced my folks that we NEED to go back. I told them we should think about November of 08 to which my dad replied. . . "I thought we were going to England". I of course said "There is an England at Disney World. :thumbsup2"

Other than that it's been a very strange day. Got up, went to church, went to see Shrek (which I enjoyed but it wasn't as good as the 2nd movie), then came home to make Strawberry Shortcake to take to work tomorrow. Spent a buttload of time cutting strawberrys and then went to start on the shortcakes. I have to say that I don't cook at my house very often. I cook almost every day but usually at my parents house. I use my oven as storage for cookie sheets, boiler trays etc. . . I took out the extra stuff, set the oven to pre-heat and eventually started smelling something odd. Upon opening the oven, I realized that something was on fire. :scared1: I didn't realize that I had put these plastic cutting sheets in with the cookie sheets and they must have slipped down when I removed everything else. They were now a puddle of melted plastic engulfed with flames. Fortunately I was able to put out the fire but was left with quite a mess. I think my oven is ok, but I'm going to worry everytime I use it from now on. :sad2: Hope you all had a fire free day.

Good Morning Sunshine. :sunny:

DMM welcome back. We missed you. Add me to the list of people wanted to hear all about the trip. Are you doing a trip report?

Susan that must have been kind of scary. :scared: I'm glad you were able to get it under control by yourself. Stick to baking at Mom's. I do love me some Strawberry Shortcake and haven't had any in well too long. Let us know how it turns out.

FAB and Chris I'm starting to get a little worried out you guys. It's been far too long. Check in please.

Lori and Will you ticker is almost up.

YAAAAYY!!! next year we were thinking October b/c of MNSSHP, but we have decided to change our minds and go with November! we like middle of November!! so hopefully we will be there at the same time!!! ::yes::

all in all vacation was of course wonderful, but pregnancy for me, made the weather diffucult and with constant bathroom breaks and keeping hydrated i was surely keeping everyone back a bit! hahah! Then with dad being post-op and about to go back in, he too was hurtin a bit :) so it was great to take it easy, but the crowds didn't allow for that much :sad2: :)

LOVED the POP as always, loved out location  and if we ever stay there again, that will definately be the location to stick with :) seeing as we have stayed in every section now, we think it isdef. time to move on :) hahaha!

What section were you in? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to go back and look.

Is your dad ok?

Oh! I forgot to say good morning!

The shortcakes turned out fine, baking them at the folks house. I managed to get the racks clean last night, after using a razor blade and some tools to break the plastic off. I'm still a bit concerned about the oven but fortunately, it still appears to be working. I figure that the next time I bake at home, I'll keep it under close supervision.

I just want to point out that this is in fact the first time I have ever tried to burn down my house. :thumbsup2

My dad is alright, just getting nervous about yet another heart surgery this week :sad2: i'm waiting for him to call me back, so we can find out when he is going in.

we are in 60s section, 3rd floor facing the lake/near the elevators and it was AWESOME! we couldn't get enough of it!!

If y'all are in the mood for extra reading material, we have our March '07 Trip Report posted through Day #5 on our website (www.tndisneyfreaks.com) - or see my sig for direct links. This includes a very, very ,very long description of the Keys to the Kingdom tour. We'll be working on Days #6 & #7 over the next few days...

I wish I could be on vacation all year. Or at least 75%.

I just booked my hotel for Disneyland in November. It's my yearly visit. My parents want to go again so now we are trying to decide between two rooms (dad snores) at an off-site hotel or 1 room at the Grand Californian. I am actually hoping to stay at the Grand because it's so convenient and really beautiful. I've got it held and we'll go from there. :woohoo:
