We had a pre-RD ADR for 12/16 but with Disney's updated park hours, it's now post-RD. I've been stalking the ADR site looking for later times that day, or our other MK day to no avail. I've heard some people get lucky just inquiring while at WDW and wanted to know if you just call the regular ADR number, if there's a way to get the number directly for the restaurant, or if we could ask our Resort the night before.

You still need to call dining (although yes, you can have the Resort concierge or Guest Services in the park check for you.)

But do you have a smart phone - I've made same-day reservations right in the park using my iPhone and the Disney dining site. That works really well.

What's pre-RD and post-RD? I'm sure there is a list some where to tell me this but so far, I can't find it...lol

RD = rope drop (term for official park opening).

You cannot make reservations for a WDW restaurant by calling the restaurant directly.

The exceptions are the Rainforest Cafes and some other restaurants at Downtown Disney - but it can't be done for a restaurant inside MK. You would need to 1) call WDW-DINE, 2) use the online booking system, 3) ask a resort lobby concierge to check reservations for you, or 4) go to Guest Services in the park to inquire about reservations.

Thanks all!

My phone isn't a smart phone, and my mom's blackberry runs really slow, but we can stop by guest services.

I've found that since Disney implemented the credit card guarantee on Oct. 26th, I can't book those restaurants from my smart phone (HTC Incredible). Because I now have to give a CC number, the mobile dining site tells me I have to call for the ressie..... bummer.

That's too bad that calling for last minute ressies is inhibited because of the cc hold now required. We have had great luck in the past few trips securing last minute ressies for places such as Lecellier, Coral Reef and Boma while we were on site using our iphones. Hopefully people will still be able to make last minute changes and get new ressies on the fly.
