Checking into hotel after midnight, just for one night?

We're leaving the night before our on-site hotel reservation so that we'll start our first day at WDW bright, early, and awake :lmao:!

We'll arrive at MCO at 11:30 PM - which means, depending on a number of factors, we'll be checking into a hotel anywhere from 12:30-1:30AM. So how would I rate this? If I book an internet special from May 6th-7th, should I just call the hotel after? Leaning towards a priceline bid (very experienced with this option). We will have a rental car.

Also, thanks to those who helped with my previous question about what to do about late night arrival. Since then we've book our one week RCI exchange so we'll pretty much stay anywhere arrival night. LOL.

I'm not quite sure on the question....are you asking what date you would book the hotel for?

If that's what you're asking, then you book for the day your flight arrives. For example, if you arrive at 11:30pm, on a Tuesday, you're booking the room for the Tuesday night, even though you technically won't be at the hotel until Wednesday.

Wherever you book, I would contact them after you make the reservation and have them note you're late arrival time. You didn't say if this would be on or off site, but I know the Disney hotels hold your room until 6am.

Yup, thats all I wanted to know. I figured it would be that way - it seems so silly to pay for a room that we'll be in for less than 12 hrs, but oh well. :goodvibes
