My oldest daughter is trying to do online check-in, and she isn't sure how to proceed. It's asking for a cc for incidentals, resort payment etc. I am paying for all the rooms, but I'm wanting her card on file for incidentals. Am I going to have to give her my cc for the online check-in, and then stop by the desk when we get there to have my daughter's cc put on file? I already gave them my card when I called to make the room reservation.

Call now and pay the remaining balance due on the room. That clears you out of it completely. Then your DD can use her own credit card for check-in (either online or in person) and the holds for incidentals will go on her card, not yours.
Okay, perfect! She's wanting to request a crib, so that's why she's wanting to do it online instead of waiting until we get there. Thank you!

Tagging on because I have a similar question...

We have two rooms, with one person paying for the rooms, but everyone else responsible for their own charges. TA has advised only one person from each room should check in online, then to put separate CC on everyone's MB/KTTW card, do that at the front desk when we get our keys. That seems inefficient, especially when we're going to have six pay "groups".

So, can we, after the rooms are paid for, have everyone go through the check in process via MDE and put in their own CC info? Or is the TA correct and it should be done on site?

The idea is the rooms are paid for, but if someone wants to charge to their room, it goes on their CC.

TIA

The TA is right. Only one credit card can be used when doing online check in. If you want everyone to be able to charge to the room but have the charge applied to their credit card, then you have to visit the front desk at check in. The CM can set each person's band or card to their credit card. But, this process can be messy, and the charges don't always go to the correct card. A visit to the front desk before check out is often required to get the charges posted correctly.

The easiest thing to do is to have no one charge to the room. Let them all pay directly with their card.

Oh my.....this does sound messy. I called and paid off my daughter's room and mine the other day. I believe my daughter was able to put her cc on file for incidentals. But now I'm concerned that everything will possibly go onto my card. ugh. We were planning on staying at the Swan our first night, as we're getting in late, and heading straight to HS our first full day there. But this is making the think we need to stop by the Boardwalk first to get this settled.

Unless things have changed, you can do this before online check in (and honestly, the couple times I've added it, I've still had to call housekeeping to have them bring it up).

Okay, thank you.

I wouldn't stress about doing online check in to request a crib. You can probably send a message through the chat box to have it added, but more than likely she'll have to call housekeeping to have it brought up anyway.

Correct if I'm wrong but once the reservation is linked to her MDE Profile she should be able to specify a credit card there to charge to the room.

The previous posters are correct, you will have to call for the crib (it will most likely be a pack and play) once you are checked in. Housekeeping doesn't normally put them in the room ahead of time because the room could be changed before you actually arrive.
