Hey guys, I have a dilemma.

So I was accepted for Spring Advantage, and I paid and I was about to pick my check-in dates. For Spring, I saw some people could pick the 28th or the 29th. But for Spring Advantage, the only options at the end of January are the 21st/22nd. My graduation ceremony is on the 24th, so I will not be able to go until the last check-in date of the season, which is February 4th.

My problem is, I do not want to live in Vista Way. I am not a partier, I don't love drinking and going out. I'm social but I just like my quiet. I am an alumni, I've been to the vista apartments and I am not a fan at all.

Basically I'm worried that if I check in on the last day, the only apartments that will be left are Vista.

Has anyone else checked in for their programs on the last day and had a problem getting Chatham or Patterson? This is just seriously ruining my day right now. :(

Dd had the last check in date. She was one of the first few in line (I'd say she got there about 90 minutes early). Her choices were a 4 bed in Vista or a 2 bed in Chatham. Nothing was available in Patterson. She and three girls she met in line chose the 4 bed in Vista. Dd chose that because she felt she'd have better odds of hitting it off with at least one roommate if she had more to choose from. She was glad she made that choice because the first girl she met in line, with whom she'd have been in the 2 bed, turned out to be a PITA, so it was much better that she wasn't one on one with her.

They did not find it to be this big party place at all. My dd felt like her worries about Vista were much ado about nothing. In fact, the people my dd knew who got termed for underage drinking in their apartments were in the other complexes, not Vista.

In truth, I think the "party bus" -- which goes around to the complexes and takes the CPers to night spots -- takes a lot of the partiers away from the complexes anyway. Two of my dd's roommates were partiers and used that bus to go elsewhere to drink and pick up guys.

Thank you for the reply! I plan on trying to find my roommates before I get down there, and I ended up choosing the last date. I mean, I'd much rather be in a two bedroom myself, i'm not a fan of too many people around at once. I just hope I can get Chatham or Patterson, but if a Chatham two bedroom was still available I'm not too worried :)
