Looks like we are getting out of the storm here shortly.

No major damage that I can see right not.

Some trees down, etc. No power but working off of generator.

The internet works if you can belive that.

What are you guys seeing.

Glad to hear from you! I was thinking of you this morning, CNN was saying Beaumont had winds over 80 miles an hour and they were worried about storm surge there. Can't believe you have internet service! Stay safe!!!!

Drake -

glad to see that you are doing okay. We will continue to have all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

We are in east texas and Ike is headed our way. We have a flash flood warning, tropical storm warning, river flooding warning, and a tornado watch. Good times, good times.

So far we have rain and high winds but Ike has not hit yet. We have all our emergency stuff ready should a tornado occur. The cats are "hunkering down" as we speak ;)

Anyone from The Woodlands area? I have dear friends that are sheltering in place with their 3 children. I'm just very concerned about them.

When we spoke last with my DH's folks in NW Houston (about 30 minutes or so from The Woodlands), we learned that they had high winds, some heavy rain and a few tree limbs down in their yard. They lost electricity and had no flooding.

From the TV reports, it sounds like loss of power is the most pressing issue in the Houston area.

Drake good to hear from you. I hope everyone stays safe. Check in when you can.

I hope everybody came out safe and with little damage. We are getting the remants of Ike today ~ wow the winds are horrible. Can't imagine what it was like were it made landfall.
