The website says that check in is at 3:00. We are driving from upstate NY & trying to plan on a time to leave so we will arrive around that time. My father told me that when he went last year, his plane landed around 11:00, & he was able to check in as soon as he got to his hotel. (Caribbean) Does anyone know if I can check in early? Thanks!

You can check in early and if your rooms aren't ready, they will hold your luggage for you until the room is ready. I think they may even deliver the luggage to your room when it's ready - but, don't hold me to that... maybe someone else can confirm?? Of course, since you are driving down, you can just leave your luggage in your car. Either way, the answer is YES, you can check in early and get an early start to your fun in the parks.

Oh yes,

Don't plan your arrival time around 3 p.m.!

The earliest we've check in is 11 a.m. and the room was ready. That was the last week i nAugust during a slower time of year tho.

herc.

There is a difference between checking in, and checking in with a room that is ready.

Every time we've checked in, between 10am and 1pm, we've been able to directly have access to our hotel room. We've never had to wait till after 3pm for a room, but I know it happens on a regular basis; everything just depends on resort capacity, maid service, check-out times, etc.

So can you check-in before 3pm? Yup... does it mean you'll have direct access to your room? Nope. If your room isn't ready, they'll hold your luggage for you and you can head off to the parks for a few hours or explore the hotel. They'll provide you with a number to call back around 3pm to see if your room is ready.

If you check-in after 3pm you should have no problem checking in and having direct access to your room.

We just went this past weekend and checked in about 2pm with no problem!! As PP mentioned its no problem at all.

thanks everyone--We're going in April so I can't imagine it'll be that busy.--we'll see!!

We were at POP last April 25. We checked in around noon and didn't have a problem. Room was ready.

One thing to note, don't take the room if you are not happy with the location.. We were at PoP earlier this month and the first room was 3rd floor 90's section and was ready..

But we wanted something near the pool, ground floor and get an amazing room a few steps from the 50's pool. The room was ready about 2 hours later and totally worth the wait. We hit the gift shop, lazy lunch and walked the resort and room was ready. You get your park passes anyway, so you can always visit a park while you wait. I rather wait a few hours for a great location and not deal with 3 flights of stairs and two tired kids at 11pm the rest of the week,

The earliest that we checked in and our room was ready was 7 am. That was at CBR 3 years ago. It was exactly what we had requested. This last trip we checked in at 10 am and our room was available after 11 am.

As others have said, I think it can really vary. When we were there, staying at All Star Movies, last April, we were in our rooms at 11am. That was great! When we went back again in August and stayed at CBR, the room was not ready until a little after 3PM.

No problem either way, as they simply held our luggage at CBR and then brought it to the room when it was ready. It's really a matter of timing I guess.

You can check in early, but your room may not be ready. If that is the case, they can tell you which building you are in and you have a number you can call back later to find out your room number.

You can check in and get your tickets etc and then return to room when you want. We did that at POP last Jan. POP is huge we payed extra for a preferred room and and it was definitely worth $10 per night. It was in 60's building and we asked for first floor and got it. We had the whole family so had 2 adjoining rooms. Make sure you like the room location it could make or break your trip. And April is busy and very warm!

We have never had to wait for a room to be ready so we've been lucky. We normally check in around 11:00 am or so but have checked in as early as 9-9:30 am and still got right into our room. Have fun!! :goodvibes

2 things.......(I honestly don't know)---Won't I get a confirmation in the mail from POP w/ my room & #???

&

busy in April????---I am going the 2nd week of April, I thought spring break for most was the 3rd week & on??? My kids' vacation is the 3rd week but I'm taking them out early, ummmm...I thought to "beat the crowds" uggh:confused:

We always check in around 7:30 or 8 am. The room is never ready buy we store our luggage, eat breakfast, and hit the parks.

Don't count on your room being ready.

Both at the GF (concierge main building) and POFQ we had to wait for our room. Both times were in April two or more weeks after Easter.

Both times we arrived tired and anxious to lay down. Last April I had a sleeping toddler on my shoulder and that didn't help, I held her in the lobby for her entire nap. This April we'll plan on the room being ready at 3!
