Checking In + AP

We are arriving at about 11:00 at the Pop Century to check-in. Wanted to check-in early and make a room request (already have them on reservation). But I don't have my AP yet (b/c going to use days left on old ticket and must do that at a theme park).

You guys suggested I call the resort. So called POP Century tonight and asked them if we could check-in early. I also asked if we could at least re-state our room requests and be sure we got those.

The woman said it wasn't a problem. She said we could check-in and I could show my AP "whenever".

Does this sound okay to you? We want to plan our day and not have to betrack later to check-in again. But we also really want a certain section of the resort.

Anyone have an experience in this or any comments for me? Help is always appreciated! Love you guys!

Please keep in mind your requests are only a request. I don't want to see you upset if you don't get a certain section of the resort.

They will let you check in and receive a room key. If the room isn't ready you will receive a phone number to check on it. You will probably have to show your AP at one point during your stay.

If you have purchased an AP voucher, you should be fine. They have that information in the computer and never asked to see my AP. If you are going during a busy time, you may have to wait quite a while to get a certain room. We requested ground level North Wing room at the Contemporary and had to wait until 4:30 to get that room even though we checked in at around 1 p.m. The front desk did seem to think it was unusual that it took that long though. They were willing to give me a second floor room or a South Wing room, but the wait was worth it.
